“Absolutely fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2011

My husband and I took our three year old daughter to vacation at Dunesvillage and it was so wonderful. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel was so clean. We had terrific service. The hot tubs and the tiki bar were also a lovely addition. There is so much to do just at the hotel, with the waterparks and the outdoor activities, that we found ourselves reluctant to even leave the premises for the entire vacation. I would really recommend this place to anyone.

Our vacation could not have been better. The resort is beautiful, but so are other places. However, we always return to The Dunes, our favorite spot in Myrtle Beach , because of the outstanding staff. They are professional, friendly, courteous and caring ! The staff has always gone above and beyond to meet our needs and a make each vacation a wonderful one .

The resort is right on the beach with amazing views! When we checked in, the person saw we were on the 1st floor and automatically moved us up to the 5th for a better view. Our room is clean and roomy and the view from the balcony is wonderful. Falling asleep listening to the ocean is amazing! Thank you to night manager Ricky Russell for fixing one minor glitch at check in. Myrtle Beach and Dunes Villiage has been great so far!

We had a great time at this resort. It was clean and we were comfortable and enjoyed our oceanfront balcony. The location is perfect if you want to be just a little bit away from the crowds and traffic.

We love the poolside bar and the multiple swimming choices with all of the pools at the resort.

They had lots of activities for children.

We enjoyed the seafood restaurant at the resort, but not the breakfast restaurant. The views were great for both, but we were disappointed in the breakfast food and decided not to have breakfast there again for the remainder of our stay.

Negatives:

The parking garage is across the street, and there is no crosswalk.

We saw palmetto bugs in our room the last night of our visit.

The hotel actually has exterior corridors.

This hotel was awesome. There were bunches of thing to do in this hotel. There was a indoor water park, 2 water slides, Seattle's Best Coffee, hot tub, pool, and a beach behind it! I love it!

Room Tip: Just order it.

My sons and I took a late Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. We were told about many resorts to try from my coworkers and friends. As I started to research the resorts I was shocked at the numerous negative reviews I was reading about the other resorts. Eventually, I found Dunes Village and was impressed with what they had to offer a family on vacation. I begin to checks the reviews and prayed this place had good reviews. Well, not only were most of the reviews good, I struggled just to find a bad review. I will be back and will recommend this resort to anybody going to Myrtle Beach.

This is our second year in a row and my parent's third year at this hotel--That should say a lot right there. The property's main features are a fantastic beach, outdoor pools and other activities and the indoor waterpark. What I love most is that we never have to worry about having a bad weather week because we always have the plan B with all of the indoor facilities(pools, ping pong, fusball, billiards etc). We have a 2.5 year old he has a blast in the different kids pools, pirate ship etc, and this year he was even able to do the smaller waterslides.
The beach is top-notch and trust me when I say that I have high standards in this area--it is very private, the sand is very white and fine and the beach at low tide is absolutely huge. There is also a town lifeguard right out front. As for the guestrooms--pay the extra money for a oceanfront suite and you will love it--it has a full kitchen with granite counters, a huge bedroom and even a jacuzzi tub--we also used the murphy bed in the living room this year.
The location of this hotel is also really good with lots of restaurants, shows, golf etc just a couple miles away. Love this place.

All of the staff here at Dunes Village Resort appreciate your loyalty, and want to thank you so much for writing such nice things about our resort. With us being in a more residential part of town, the beach is not overly crowded. And as you pointed out, there is always something to do even when it is raining outside. It is so exciting that your child went down the samller slides on this visit. Hopefully the next time you come he will try the bigger ones!

We look forward to having you back here soon.
