This hotel is not perfect but for the price and location it can't be beat. The rooms are average size and a bit dated but the whole property is on a multi year remodel plan. The staff were very nice and even the house keeping crew thanked us for staying there. The only real problems were with the plumbing but that was minor and is scheduled for replacement as well. The breakfast was what you expect, cereal, Danish,fruit,oj,coffee ect. The beach is just a few steps away and there are places to eat just a few blocks away. We paid $60.00 a night while others in our group at another hotel paid twice that for rooms no nicer than ours. Looking toward to the next trip!

You get what you pay for. This place was cheap. It is run down, but clean and the housekeeping staff was very nice. One of the beds in our room had a hole in the mattress (actually like a ditch you sink into). Thankfully there were two beds and we only needed one. The walls are PAPER THIN....the couple next door to us had a great encounter at 2 am the first night. This place also had people coming and going at all hours (or so it seemed).

The property is across the alley from a low-scale motel that said "bikers welcome and we need your $" on the marquee. Although its a no-smoking motel, the grounds were covered in cigarette butts, including the pool area. They should at least put out ashtrays/butt containers. The beach in that area was also loaded with cigarette butts. Also, the breakfast was really lousy and the coffee was watery. The location was fantastic for us as it was down the road a ways from the amusement area and it is just steps to the beach.

NOTE: The description of this property says all rooms have balconies...they do NOT! Only the oceanfront rooms have balconies. Also, if you're looking for a "view" of the ocean, you have to be on the top two floors on the oceanfront side of the motel; the bottom two floors can't see over the dunes.
