This place is awful. My dogs stay in kennels that are nicer. I checked into the room and checked out within an hour (would have been sooner but it took a little while to find another place). The room smelled of urine and I was told that this was one of the best units they had, I actually asked the guy if he was kidding me and I was on some kind of hidden camera show. The pool area was not much better. You could not even see the bottom of the pool and one pool was boarded over. When I told them I was leaving because the place was not as advertised they would not even give me back my deposit but I gladly forfited the deposit to get out of this place.

Not only would I not recommend this to my friends, I would not even recommend this to my worst enemy. If you still decide to stay in this place you had better be up to date on all your shots.

Were should I start I am in the military and googled alot of hotels, and saw blue water. When I spoke with Amy to reserve my room she was very friendly and advised me of the policies of the $100 and non refundable first night stay. Apparently what she forgot to tell me was you have to ask to "GO GREEN" so you can have maid service. First of all I have never ever heard of that in my life. Then there is a card in the room that tells you that the room's linen is cleaned and all the good stuff. When I first walked in I thought everything was good, until further inspection not all of the outlets work, there were sunflower seeds on the floor. And I discovered little bites all over my arms to discover they were from bed bugs. So I had to come home and wash everything that touched the beds in the room. I have stayed alot of places and have never had a bad stay and never had been bitting by bed bugs. My fellow colleagues discovered blood on there sheets so went to walmart and purchased sheets to sleep on. Because we didn't have the maid service they only charged us $126 instead of the $141, but there is a hospitality charge of a $1. Now from reading the reviews I see the General Manager responds with a nice generic explanation of what is going on, instead of doing that spend the night in one of the rooms and make some changes. Because for some reason you are willing and able to take our money, but not make the hotel a place were people want to spend there money. When I come back I will be spending my money with a place that knows how to treat there consumers. We are the ones that are helping you pay your bills, just the way you work hard for your money we do to and when we spend it we want to be happy with what we are getting.

We went out for independence day weekend. The room was nothing too special but you can't beat the location right on the beach. We really liked having a full kitchen right in the room. The parking deck for the hotel is a couple blocks away but it's really not that inconvenient as long as you're not going to your car too much. The room was pretty clean and they were able to clean things up real quick in the morning. Very quick to answer the phone when we called the front desk. For the price it was worth it, but we do hope to stay somewhere a little nicer next time we go back.

Management response from KRIS LEWIS, Manager

The resort has three buildings. An Oceanfront Tower and two villas across the street from the ocean. Each unit is individually owned. With this, owners renovate at different times.

We have a special "Go Green" which a guest can opt out of housekeeping services for a discounted rate. With this special, or if a do not disturb sign is on a door, housekeeping will no go to a guest's room. In this case, a guest would need to exchange towels at the front office.
