We stayed in the North tower in a 2 bdr condo. It was clean and roomy. The tower was less than 100 yards to the beach and 2 nice swimming pools were within the same distance. The property was well maintained and very secure. You felt as if you were isolated from the world. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The cost of the rental was worth every cent. We'd recommend Ocean Creek to anyone wanting a safe and relaxing vacation in the Myrtle Beach area.

We booked the one bedroom villa from a deal on travelticker for $79 per night. It was a great plact to stay! I was really impressed. Lots of pools, activities and a tram that comes to pick you up to take you to the beach. For the money, this place was really nice. Also, the beach is really nice here too - and they have a little "sound" which is great for the kids to play in. I will definately be going back. Much nicer than the other places on the strand.

I would say that the Ocean Creek Resort is satisfactory. The property has several areas that you can stay. We were in Lodge 3 for 3 nights. According to the information online this was an "oceanfront" resort. The ocean was about a 10-15 minute walk from our lodge so that was a bit dissapointing. We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa. It was very large and for the most part relatively clean but also very dated in decor. In addition, there was a VCR (that did not work) but no DVD player. One nice aspect is the freezer had an ice maker- just be sure to turn it on when you check in! We could tell that the unit was not thouroughly cleaned since there were potato chip crumbs on a chair in the dining area and a piece of dental floss in the package on the floor in the bedroom when we arrived. It was also noisy in the mornings so if you are a light sleeper it may be a little difficult! Also, the bed in the main bedroom is a double so it is a bit tight. On our last night when going upstairs to our room at about 11:00 we saw about 10 giant cockroaches in the hallways and on the walls. I called the front desk about this and they said there is not sure what they could do about it but would make a note. The pools are also fine but not heated so even though it was July they were a little cool for us. The beach is nice...very crowded while we were here. The beach club restaurant on the beach was very convenient and the chicken tenders were great. We had a very nice getaway but I would not say this is a great pick for a resort.

We have been staying here for the past 10-12 years and have enjoyed the many pools, shady landscapes, good food at the restaurant, the gentle walk to the beach and riding the tram on the way back. The beach pool snack bar is a pleasant place to have a cool drink with lunch. Some of the rooms are decorated quite nicely but this last one was in need of some gentle changes. In the past we have vacationed with our kids and grandkids but most of the time it is just the two of us. The front desk though has always been accomodating so that we can get rooms near each other. .

This was my second time staying at Ocean Creek. I had rented a villa and they upgraded me to a 2 bedroom condo in the Towers. I was estatic! I took my sister-in-law and grandchild. It was their first time there and they had a wonderful time. I am looking forward to next year. The villa is nice but the Tower is wonderful.

My husband, 10 year old son and I spent a weekend at Ocean Creek. We were a little concerned because we knew it was an older property and it was really cheap online--we stayed in one of the lodge villas and it was just over $400 for a two bedroom condo. The place was great. The "villa" was in the middle of the property and we were anticipating a walk to the beach; however, there's a parking lot for guests that's about a 2 minute walk to the beach. Our villa had its own pool so we didn't have to share with a lot of people. The condo was clean and very large for the money; the bedrooms were far enough apart that we couldn't hear the video games and he couldn't hear....anything. Housekeeping I think was done by ninjas because we never saw them but they would manage to get in and clean in the two hours we were on the beach every morning. Very convenient to everything (right across the street from Barefoot Landing's shops) and easy to find. The only small thing we noticed was that housekeeping was fast but not that efficient. The dishwasher would be running with 4 glasses but a plate we left in the living room was untouched and we could have used more towels, but overall, a great visit and a great value!!!

We have stayed at other resorts (Hilton, Sea Watch) and this is by far the best. The rooms are a little outdated, but we lucked out and had a really comfortable King bed and the place was well kept. The property is just stunning, unlike any other in the area. There is a pond right outside the Towers (we stayed in the North Tower) with ducks and turtles, the tidal creek that runs through the property is perfect for crabbing or just wading through to try and find minnows, hermit crabs, etc. Perfect for kids. The beach front is huge, it is right next to a secluded area (Briarcliffe Acres). Housekeeping was outstanding, prompt and thorough and very polite, they even did the dishes in the sink!!!!

Overall I would highly recommend this resort. Try to do research and get an updated room, we stayed before and we stayed in the Penthouse and while the views were outstanding, the room was sorely in need of updates and the bed was not comfortable at all. Just know what to expect, each unit is owner occupied, but who wants to stay in their room anyway on vacation????
