“First Time at this Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Have been going to Myrtle Beach for 27 Years. Have stayed in six different hotels. I picked this one to stay in just to try it out. Because I was only there for one night I chose an Ocean view. I usually choose ocean front. The balcony was very very small. Overlooked the top of the building next door. Beautiful view of their air conditioners. Hotel was nice. Room was nice. Fairly new hotel so still in great shape.

We spent a month in a three bedroom unit. It was generally in very good condition. A couple of issues needed to be addressed such as a dirty stove top but it was taken care of promptly to our satisfaction. We have made a reservation for next year already. Would recommend The Anderson for anyone staying in the Myrtle Beach area. Great ocean view. One point of frustration: The building Wi-Fi was constantly up/down all day long. That made it difficult to consistently work on the computer. Hopefully, this will be resolved by next year.

Managing expectations. I've read a lot about the new Hilton Grand Vacation Club OPENING SOON at Myrtle Beach and was excited that I was finally able to get a room at the inn. As a HGVC owner we have stayed in a few places in Fl as well as Vegas. I was not expecting it to be a property that has 150 rooms purchased by Hilton and the rest are either owned by this club and spa or full time owners. So it was a little different. Myrtle Beach is a different feather in itself. It is great to come to get some time on the beach and then all the tourist trap stuff is here as well. Like most HGVC I love the fact that our room had all of the amenities that we have loved - such as refrigerator, w/d, microwave, stove etc... for our large family its nice and easier on the wallet to be able to do 2 meals in house and 1 out. We are directly on the beach and that is a plus as well. I have to say the house keeping isnt A #1-- phone in room is full of dust and grease... gross to pick up to call down stairs. Toilet paper was very close to empty on our arrival. bathroom seems a little greasy too. Im not sure what these places go for if you are paying per night. As a HGVC owner it was OK - its just again managing expectations- when you read its new - you think new. when you think HGVC you think its all HGVC and its not-- more like an RCI feel.... just saying~ Will we come back here - probably because its a doable drive from DC in one day and not 13 hours to FL -but its not HGVC so be prepared. I like that I can walk to 2 starbucks each within a short walking range and I like that you can walk out and be on the beach.

Room Tip: They are renovating still so make sure you ask to be a few floors away from the renovations.

Surpassed our expectations! Full kitchen, washer and dryer, beds were comfortable even the sofa bad wasn't too bad, extremely clean. The pool was awesome, my son would have stayed in that pool all day. I had to force him to the beach! I think we would have loved to have stayed a bit longer. The staff was great, but the restaurant across the street is not so great!

The service through the month was outstanding. Check in and out was made easy with good help. Room was clean, with a full kitchen and oceanfront.
The room was starting to show it's age, could use some upgrading. The resort is going partly Hilton timesharing, those rooms are being remodeled.
The Anderson is in a good location for walking to the Boardwalk and resturants.
The indoor pool and hot tub were nice on a couple cool days too

I have been skeptical in the past about the "Ocean Front" properties that are a constant in and out stay for many vacationers. Anderson Ocean Club is a beautiful property that is constantly maintained. We purchased our stay through a Groupon deal- we chose the 3 day with spa credit. The studio room was plenty large enough for the two of us. Washer/Dryer/Full Kitchen all made the stay seem like my home away from home on the beach. Awesome stay! Front Desk staff and concierge could not have been better! Thank You!

Room Tip: Studio rooms are on the sides of the property. I could look out my balcony and it was angled so tha...

.we are regulars at Myrtle Beach and this has been our best stay at a hotel yet. Very high end hotel with all the amenities that you need including a full service spa. The staff was very friendly which is a must forme whenever i stay at a hotel. Very clean and well maintained. The only complaint i would have is that I think they need a larger pool area.
