“Great vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

We stayed from Saturday to Saturday and could not ask for a better room and experience. Washer and dryer worked well as did the refrig, dish washer, microwave and all lights. Check in was easy and everyone was friendly. We never had to ever wait for an elevator and found out one had been torn up one day and we never noticed. No bugs, sinks and tub was clean upon arrival. Room service was great. They checked to see if we needed anything, supplied new towels, changed our bed clothes. Plenty of parking. Pools were great and always clean. We easily got chairs anytime we went to the pool. Pool side tiki was great and fast. People were very friendly. Check out was just as easy. We would stay again with no second thought and I would recommend it.

This hotel was GREAT!!! The people at the front desk are so nice and sweet. When we got there the parking was easy and helpful and next to an elevator. They have four elevators so there was no wait at all. Our room was beautiful and had alot of space! Very clean rooms!!! Even the maids were polite and sweet. I will definitely be staying here again!!!

Room Tip: Corner suits are bigger:-)

We stayed at the hotel from 07/26/12-07/29/12. Orginally, we had booked another hotel but it had recently gotten some pretty bad reviews, so we changed about 2 weeks before our trip. Not only was Paradise $190 cheaper (for the same amount of nights!) but we felt Paradise was in a better location. Our group included myself, (a 26 year old woman), a friend (29 year old woman) and our two five year old daughters.

The appearance on the outside is nice. It's a little difficult to know where to go - the lobby does not connect to the main part of the hotel, which I didn't like. You'll have to unload your car in the parking garage, which can be hectic as it is a very tight fit and you'll feel rushed. Other then that, there wasn't a problem. The parking garage is a tight fit...but if this bothers you, do not go to Myrtle Beach at all because EVERYTHING in MB was a tight fit (at least to us). However, if you are a decent driver, you won't have any problems.

We were on the eighth floor, and it had a very nice view. However, the hallway flat out stunk! Some days it was okay - we were on other floors and they smelled fine. The room itself was clean, very spaciou, and we were happy with it. The hotel staff was friendly and even went out of their way to help us.

We only went to the restaurant in the hotel, Sandals, once, and that was for breakfast. We weren't blown away but it was decent. Just regular breakfast food buffett.

There were TONS of kids. TOOONNNNNNSSSSS. If you're looking to have fun/let loose - probably not the place. Our girls loved it simply because they were able to find so many "friends". The beach was nice - very close - and they had four showers right off the steps. That was so great! We never felt rushed and we never had to wait for a shower coming off the beach. (Even when they shut the beach down due to a storm.)

The hotel has great deals on tickets to local attractions - we saved over $20 on tickets to Ripley's Aquarium on a rainy day. (Don't go, by the way...waste of money.)

The beds were okay. Not the most comfortable, but not that bad. You're getting what you pay for here.

Lastly: the elevators were ALWAYS full. It was such a pain. You lose all sense of dignity in those elevators because you're touching so many people...but I think this couldn't have been avoided at any of the resorts, as busy as every place we went to was. Just a little side note: we are still chuckling about how the elevator says "Lobby". It's pretty funny. Check it out.

Room Tip: Loved the corner room we had - still had a view of the ocean, not much noise and it was roomy with b...

When my family and I travel, we typically stay at higher end resorts/hotels like $300-$400/night. So with that being said, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and spacious this resort is. The rooms are very basic, nothing to brag about, but all in all, it was decent. The beds were comfortable. The walls needed touch-up paint and my kids bedroom door kept getting stuck, so they couldn't close it. They upgraded us to a 3 bed/2 bath which ended up being a plus because our friends decided to drive up from Charlotte to spend a day with us. The hotel staff was really nice upon check in and check out. The kitchen had all the major appliances that you would need (i.e. blender, toaster, etc), but they don't provide you with dishwashing liquid or Cascade for the dishwasher like I'm use too, so because we were staying for a week, we just bought some. The hotel is a few blocks away from the action on Myrtle Beach, which was fine, because we didn't get any disturbances. All of Myrtle Beach was sold out during the time we were went (July 16-22), so I was VERY apprehensive about booking this hotel, especially because we got the room so cheap (only $890). But I'll be honest, the pool and the lazy river was packed and the water looked gross. It just looked like the bottom was full of sand and they had so many people in it, that I'm sure the chlorine levels were low.The lounge chairs around the pool area also looked like they could use some Lysol spray. I don't mean this in a bad way, the chairs were just grimy and the pool water was just very murky & cloudy...but ultimately it didn't matter because our eyes were set on the beach...which was easily accessible! We brought our own chairs & umbrellas, but from the looks of it, if you didn't make it down to the beach before 10 am, chances are they were already reserved. The parking garage was very tight (we have a Yukon Denali XL) and every time my husband turned a corner or pulled into a space, I was nervous. Very small garage (only 4 levels that allows about 15 cars max on each) and should be for compact cars only. They offer parking across the street, which was a plus for us, because we are a large family and need room on both sides of the car door for coming and going. The hotel allows you to take advantage of the pool and activities at their sister hotels, but we didn't. It also has a restaurant on site, that we didn't take advantage of, but it appeared to be nice. The activities at the hotel were fun, lots of loud music, karaoke, and people drinking and dancing, so for families traveling, this would be an ideal location. Nothing spectacular, but for what it was and how much it cost, I would consider coming back if I can't find a room at a higher end resort.

Really enjoyed our stay, Bathroom was very clean, and room was large and laid out very well. The bed was firm and confortable. The parking deck was a little tight but manageable.
Would recommend to our friends.

Here for a national dance competition at the Convention Center, a easy drive from the condo. Friendly staff, clean rooms, very comfortable with 4 adults and 5 children. Loved the ocean view and our girls enjoyed the pool, ocean, lazy river, etc. Mike, the bartender at the Tiki Bar, was very friendly, joking and informative. Only complaint was the loud noises, fireworks, lazer lights, and screaming late at night (after midnight) on the beach. Parking garage is always full and not well designed. The pool and lazy river were always crowded. Overall we had no major complaints about the condo, service, staff, etc.

Decent resort, great location! Overall our stay at this resort was good; however, we weren't a fan of the parking garage being away from the resort. You have to cross the busy boulevard to get to and from the parking garage. The front desk staff was friendly enough. The unit was very average & we had issues with a faulty bathroom light (it would simply shut off while you were in there). We called down & they sent maintenance up quickly. However, the maintenance guy acted as if it was no big deal & said he would return the next day. Overall, it wasn't a horrible stay but for the price, it could have been much better. Again, the location is great!
