Like the other reviewers have stated, not a very friendly atmosphere. Stayed in 2003, had a decent time. Clean room, but no maid service, and NO PHONE. Stayed again in 2004 (price was right) and had the same problems - no maid service, was told the phone was broken in the room and would be replaced. Two days and two requests later, still no phone. Seemed like I was bothering the owner/manager when I asked about it. He would mumble "I'll get to it" in an annoyed voice and disappear in the back and not return. Left me standing there on both occassions. A motel in a resort area in the 21st century with NO PHONE both times I stayed there. Of course, no refund when I checked out 2 days early for better digs.
Unless you are a biker or construction worker in town for an extended time I would steer clear. Pony up for the nearby Quality Inn, much, MUCH better! Worth the price over there. Arizona Inn? $25 a night is too much.

checked on the room rates one day and moved in the next. when we paid, the guy went up 25.00 on the room and 25.00 on the security deposit.the management lied to us . also we had to clean our own room,no maid service.we moved out 3 days before our time was up and they wouldn' refund our money and only gave us 40.00 of our 75.00 deposit back. don't stay there. these people are not honest and are not kid friendly.

Just nasty, Owner is a joke. Room had potential. Bedroom had names carved in walls. You could kick in the door it was so light. No Microwave. This hotel has a no refund policy, which is fine. When we told the owner we were leaving, he said "Just lock yourselves in the room and come out tomorrow and the bikers will be gone." It is vacation not prison. Stay elsewhere...BEWARE!!!

I had stayed at the Arizona Inn three times in the past. It was very pleasant and the management made us feel welcome and at home. Things have definantly changed. There is a new manager or overseer of the property. He does not make you feel welcome and he does not make you feel at home. It was almost as if servicing the guests was a burden and an inconvience. Record keeping and reservations are lacking as well, according to our experience.

The rooms had cockroaches. I saw two. An exterminator came one morning (and awoke us from sleep), without annoucement, and we had to move all of our food, clothes, and toiletries in a moments notice. Then the room smelled like bug spray (of course) and we had to go back through and clean up everything again. By the way, there was another baby cockroach in the room that evening after "extermination."

The bathroom sink was clogged when we arrived. The hallway had a burned out light, which we fixed. And, the refrigerator also had a burned out light that was reported and never fixed. The overseer said that he didn't have any bulbs for the fridge.

The pool was very green when we arrived. The main manager of the hotel happen to come by as we first checked in and complained about the condition of the pool. Several doses of some chemical from a bucket were dumped into the pool as we were in the pool a couple of days later.
The overseer would set out around the pool, occasionally jumping in (and wiped down the patch of the side of the pool - i'm sure that little section was very clean), and would drink and smoke with guests staying at the hotel. The man maid, who I assumed lived at the hotel, also would get into the pool and lounge. It did not make the pool seem very open to guests.

We noticed other guests having problems (actually overhead). One lady and gentlemen were having difficulty with an air conditioning unit and fridge. I do not know what the problem was with the fridge but I did see one sitting outside of a room for the better part of a day. The problem with the air conditioner as the lady described it was that it was blowing out hot air.

There were not always parking spaces readily available. The "overseer" takes up a spot and the man maid takes up another spot with two vehicles. People who must live at the hotel take up spots that are large enough for two vehicles.

The carpets outside the rooms, on the second floor, are deplorable. Water from air conditioners is allowed to run directly on the carpets. The carpets are stained beyond repair with mold and stench. The air conditioners that did have buckets catching water were allowed to run over on multiple occasions during our stay including our air conditioner.

The quality of guests and management has grossly declined. It is no longer, to me, the best, safest, cleanest, or most decent place to take a family.

Overall, the condition of the hotel seems to be poor. It seems to have deteriorated greatly since our last visit in 2003. I do not think that we will be returning.

Stayed at the Arizona Inn in M.B., Apr 10th and 11th. Sign had $25 per nite for single. Wife and I bit and paid $30 a nite ($5 for extra person).
It is something we'll always remember. It was clean but really showed it's age and lack of maintenance. Bed sheets were washed but thread bare with a few holes. Blanket and bedspread were old but clean (and washed I hoped). TV and remote worked. Matteress was worn out. Just mini blinds on windows so we hung the bedspread up over the windows for the nite. Walls paper thin so you hear whats going on in everyroom around you, everything. No maid serve second day. Had hot water for the shower. Would we ever stay there again? No. The place was pretty full. I think the sign sucked a lot of others in also. Most from out of state like us.
One good thing, the Spring House Pancake House is right next door.
