we go to myrtle beach a couple of times a year. for those who've never been, mb. is a hugh tourist destination. anyway, like so many other big tourist spots, the place is very commercialized. but a very bright spot in an otherwise crowded, noisy, touristy spot, is myrtle beach state park. we have visited many times, and have camped several times. the campground is great, its clean and well maintained. there aren't spots right on the beach, but its not far away. I like the spots in the back, the ones there are large and private. if you're planning a trip to mb. (and you should), take time to visit the park.
