I rented Cabin #6 in MBSP. A few things you need to know before you go.
The cabin is huge. My extended family of 7 fit quite comfortably with room to spare. The kitchen has nice quality pots and pans. It has 2 zoned thermostats so the cold natured can stay warm and vice versa with no complaints. Flat screen TV, DVD with satellite were also in the cabin. You can get Wi Fi from the large screen porch. Very convient location to go to the beach. You have a cement walk way from your steps to the beach which was handy for pulling a wagon down. Finally, the history of the cabin is incredible. If you stay here, you will enjoy the old pictures on the wall and book about the history of the cabin.
If you want to be away from it all, look elsewhere. This cabin is in the middle of the entrance/exit to the camping area. There is A LOT of traffic due to its location. It is next to the camp office and store. So, not only do you have all the vehicle traffic going in and out, but all the bike, golf cart, and foot traffic to the store as well. The only WiFi access is at the store so many people seem to congrate in this area as well. Also be aware that a lot of large commercial and military planes fly overhead as this is, depending on the wind direction, either the final leg or departure leg of the runway at Myrtle Beach International Airport.
If you like to people and plane watch (as I do!!) this location is awesome. Like all State Parks, the staff was super friendly and helpful.
