Description: Chuck's has been offering the original steakhouse and salad bar concept since 1979. Thick, juicy, hand cut Certified Angus steaks, chops, prime rib, lobster tails, and chicken are all charcoal broiled to perfection. Casual dining amid rustic elegance. Chuck's offers a waterway view, three fireplaces, and a large library. Reservations are accepted but are not necessary. A childrens, early bird, and senior citizen's menu are also available. Our Happy Hour is 4-7 seven days a week. At Chuck's we only serve premium bar brands. We also feature $5.00 Martinis and a bar menu during Happy Hour. Chuck's is a smoke free restaurant.

There were 3 in our party. Each ordered something different. I was thrilled with my ribs! They were very good! Another person in our group had the prime rib. He wasn't overly excited about it. Another had the filet....and it was TINY! I DO mean TINY!!!! The salad bar was nice. Selection was generous. Décor was like eating in Cabela's.....lots of dead animals everywhere. But service was very good and pricing was reasonable. We'll return and would recommend it...compared to some other places there.

“Great Salad Bar!”

The steaks were good, not great, but the Old School salad bar was great. It had 20 or 30 different items (ham , red beets, cheese, etc) and everything was very fresh. Decor was dated and overloaded with stuffed animals but it was clean, including the restrooms. Pricing was reasonable. Over all a good steak house. I would go back.

“Mixed review from our group”

First time eating at Chuck's. Interior was a surprise after seeing the brilliant paint job on the outside. Our waiter was awesome. One of our group was thrilled with the wine cheese spread, onion rings and said the prime rib was awesome. The two men had ribs and said they were good. Everyone enjoyed the salad bar. I got the recommended sirloin cooked medium as suggested. The prime rib enthusist thought it was perfect. For me it was so-so. It was a very odd shaped piece of beef. Sort of a triangular piece with a high bump in the middle and sloped ends. Ends were ok but the middle was cooked to an almost rare. We will go back as our friend can't wait to eat there again, but I'll go the salad route.

David and Sandy Adams have owned and operated Chuck's since 1979. Our general manager has been with us for 16 years and our broiler cook for 26 years. We are the only independently owned restaurant in Myrtle Beach that offers Certified Angus Beef products, and we are one of only four that still hand cut all of our steaks on a daily basis. In other words, "We care."

We would like the opportunity to serve you again and prove that we are capable of good food, good service and a good time at our humble establishment. We've been around a long time, we have a very dedicated clientele, we care about our customers, and we rely on repeat business.

“Go ELSEWHERE for STEAK!!!!!!”

Two older gentlemen outside said "this was the best place in town for steak". I do feel sorry for those older gentlemen if they call this the best steak in town. They need to get out more often and broaden their horizons. The only good thing about this place was the salad bar! Hostess was not friendly, nor was our waitress. We had sticker shock when we opened the menu. $15.00 for grilled chicken that i had to dip in their sauce to disguise the taste at one point. Wasn't very good. $30.00 for a steak that was ok! Bottom line....not a good experience for the price or quality. Our dinner was suppose to come with rolls! No rolls where served and I know there are rolls at the salad bar, but once my food is in front of me, and at those prices I don't expect to have to go get my own dinner rolls. Not sure what the appeal is for this place for that type of money for food. Will not be back!

“Steak Quality is not what is once was”

We had a party of nine and the waiter was excellent, efficient and very pleasant. The quality of the beef is not what it has been in the past. One of our party ordered a filet that was not edible - all gristle. After the fourth bite that she had to spit out, she sent the steak back. There was an offer to replace but the rest of the group was half finished dinner so it did not make sense. Management did remove the meal from the ticket and a couple of desserts were sent to the table which was nice and greatly appreciated. Three other folks at the table had issues relating to overdone and fat and gristle. My husband ordered a hamburger which was cold - meat and bun. Again, with 9 people, we did not want to hold up dinner by requesting another burger. My husband removed the cold bun and just ate the meat. The conclusion was that due to the price of beef, Chucks has dropped down a level in meat quality.
