“Great golf, nice accommodation, OK food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Six of us stayed in a three bedroom condo at the Legends resort and played two onsite (one day was rained out) and two offsite courses. The golfers in the group had a range of skills (low 80s to high 90s), but we all found the courses interesting and challenging in different ways. The condo was well furnished although one of the bedrooms was fairly small. The high speed internet connection is ethernet only (no WiFi). The condos are not within walking distance of the onsite courses, so we had to drive every day. The breakfast is plentiful, but a little disorganized (dishes sometimes not available, cereal station closed early, coffee urn empty) and not all that tasty. The sit down lunch was good as were the sandwiches provided on the course. All in all a very satisfactory way to enjoy Myrtle Beach golfing.

Stayed here for a golf trip for the first time. Didn't play the on site courses this time, but first time in condos. Very nice condo's, ours had racks for golf bags inside the door if you didn't want to leave them in the car. Kitchen well equiped with stuff if you need to cook, or eat. Washer and Dryer, full size, in the units which came in handy when weather didn't cooperate with clothing that was packed. On site sports pub with good food and apps, and TV's to watch the game, then just walk back to condo. Clubhouse lounge also has many TV's and good burgers and apps, and pizza. Good for buddy trips instead of hotels.

Room Tip: Can rent full condo or some close off into hotel style roome w/2 dbl beds and bath. Some condos are...

Great resort, from accommodations to the courses, to the local attractions for fun. Only one issue we had was a surly cart attendant...apparently fishing for tips and not letting anyone touch their own bags. It was just fine, but in tight time frames it created some tension.

Aside from that, the resort and golf were incredible!

The Legends Golf Resort, been there 3 years running now, condos are nice, reasonably clean with a great on site pub, although the food seemed better last last year. Small problems with the condo like dirty lawn furniture, no chord on the DVD and this year the condo we got was getting worn and needed some new furniture. The biggest problem is the golf. 5-6 hour rounds everyday. We talked to one of the marshal's and he said they're pushing too many people per day. I think the golf package with breakfast, lunch and 2 drinks, plus free driving range is such a good deal there's too many people signing up and they aren't turning anyone away. The 2 off-site courses are marginally better time-wise but Oyster Bay was really run down. The 3 legends courses are average, with not much to distinguish between them. Not for serious golfers.

Came to town for a family funeral so we needed several condos (off season). We were all in the same block but not very close to each other -- first disappointment. Kitchen had alot of stuff, some TVs were OLD others were NEW, beds were squeaky but comfy. Looked like patio furniture hadn't been cleaned all year. Couch was nice in one condo and very rough in another. Each condo had different level of comfort with furniture. Each condo had to call maintenance for a minor issue which was resolved within a few hours.

Returned to Legends for a big disapointment. The rounds of golf were painfully slow. Expect a 5 to 6 hour round. Played 9/1,9/2,9/3. 0n Sun 9/2 played a 6 hour round in suffocating heat. The one or two water coolers on the course had no water. We saw the drink cart once during the round. Most miserable round of golf I ever experienced. The course condition on Moorland was average for MB.The food was average at best. breakfast was plentiful but quality was poor. To top things off the last day we requested a late check out so we could play last round before we left. Got to the pro shop about 9am to try to get in a round. Was told we (2 golferd) could not get on until about 1 pm. As a resort guest I would have thought they could have been more helpful and less arrogant. I called the Witch (excellent course and service) and got a 10:20am tee time in 5 minutes. Will never go back to Legends again. Spend your money somewhere else where your money is appreciated.Rooms are old and need upgrading. If you want a great golf experience spend your hard earned money at Bandon Dunes,OR. The golf and hospitality are light years ahead of lack luster Legends!

Room Tip: Go to another resort

This was my second trip to Legends and the condition of the condos has gone downhill drastically. After a fiasco with the air conditioning on arrival the condo we had was adequate but dirty and dated. The carpet was stained, the layer of dust on the ceiling fans was thick and black. The vents in the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned in some time. Our first morning there we were greeted by a 4 inch cockroach walking accross the living room floor. We happened to be in the room when the housekeepers came one day and all they did was straighten the bed and change the towels. The whole week there was no evidence that the condo was vacumed and the ring around the toilet indicated that the bathroom wasn't cleaned either. The main pool in the complex had a layer of grease that wouldn't wipe off it was so thick around the tiles, the water became cloudy after only
5-6 people were in the pool. I'm glad we were out most of the week as I couldn't have tolerated the condo all week. Needless to say I will not be staying at legends again when I return to Myrtle Beach
