“Quick weekend get-away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

We have been going to Myrtle Beach for about 10 years now. We try to go at least twice a year. A few times we have stayed at other resorts, and were very disappointed that we did not return to Sea Watch. We will NEVER stay anywhere else!! When it was owned by Fairfield a while back, we saw the overall property and upkeep declining. Now that Wyndam owns it, there is constantly improvements being made, somewhere on the property. From someone that has stayed a few different places in Myrtle, we definitely missed the cleanliness, location and beauty of Sea Watch. We no longer look into other places to stay!!

Room Tip: We always stay in the North tower. We had family stay in the South tower a few years back, and wasn...

We spent a week with two other couples at the resort. It was comfortable, relaxing and just what we were looking for. The pools and beach were within a short walk. If you like the beach, it's a good idea to have your beach chairs and umbrella to avoid rental costs. We shouldn't have waited till the last day to try the restaurant for breakfast. The chef, Marvin, was
outstanding! Steve, who seated us, and Deb and all the staff were very friendly and
provided great service. Loved the omeletes and waffles and actually, everything!

I wanted to write this in caps but it's not letting me; I was disappointed staying here as I wanted North Tower ocean front and did not get it. I wanted to stay at North Tower as a purspective buyer. I was given a room on the other side instead; and awakened by loud Gospel singers. After driving 8 hours we arrived to lights out and fire personnel at the premises. There was confusion at the front desk and at times no one acknowledged people checking in or out. The beach was nice; brunch was good; given how we were treated by managment, doubt I would stay there again. we were placed in someone's unit who owned and it was treated as a rental.

Room Tip: Make sure you write the name of the person you spoke with; initially the person who booked us put us...

The property was well maintained with easy access to pools, hot tubs, and beach. The breakfast made-to-order omelets were well prepared by the omelet chef. During our stay, Steve prepared great lunchtime and snack time treats, and Tracy made sure our iced tea was topped off - even gave us "take-away" cups! VERY thoughtful.

We enjoyed the spacious accommodations for both our personal living quarters and the conference room where we could sew to our hearts content!

Room Tip: Our room in the North Tower was flooded with the first morning light - great to wake up to the sunri...

We spent a long weekend at the Sea Watch via a Living Social offer. Mostly it was everything we expected. It is a well kept property with a great pool and hot tub area. The location in the Kingston area is excellent--easy access to golf and things like Barefoot Landing and popular restaurants. A very nice beach and we had a wonderful view of the the ocean from our tiny suite. We did note that the suite was smaller than we thought it would be and the furnishings in the "living room" area were dated and sort of uncomfortable. This is a perfect accommodation for a couple with a child or two, as each (the adults and the kids) can have their own private room. Not plush, but serviceable. And those kids would LOVE the pool area.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors are a bit larger than those on lower floors.

We stayed a few nights in an ocean front view room. Sea Watch was very accommodating, letting us check in early 9:30 am since we had a morning flight in. The rooms view of the ocean was very nice, we love the sounds of the waves. Used the jacuzzi which was really nice and they have a real good pool set up. The room itself was a pretty standard king efficiency type room, if you stayed for several days the kitchen would be a good perk. The bed was comfortable and the location was perfect for us. Quiet away from the crowds of downtown but not much more than 15 minutes from all the sights of Myrtle Beach both north and south. Would go back again.

We stayed at this property with my 3 yr old and 19 mo old children while I was at a training. My husband left a large kitchen knife, about 10 in long (about not a table knife), in the sink. This was a safe place for the knife as there was no way my children could reach the sink. We chose to wash our dishes by hand and did not use the dishwasher. At one point I turned around and my 19mo old son had the knife in his mouth - the sharp side in his mouth. Apparently the housekeeping staff had put the knife in the dishwasher. This could have been a disaster and there is no excuse for this. There was rust on the refrigerator and on the dishwasher; the base of the commode was dirty; there were holes in the blankets; and the TV channel listing was not correct. When I arrived I asked the front desk staff where the training would be located and if breakfast and lunch was served as part of the training. The staff told me she did not know where the training was, but "it might be down there since there are conference rooms down there." She told me breakfast and lunch were not part of the package. I paid $3 for a cup of coffee the first morning of the training. I then walked into the room and found a nice set up of coffee, muffins, fruit and bagels. Lunch was also served. I had a special food need and the staff was very good about accommodating my need. A karate school was staying at the resort at the same time we were. Kids in the room next to us were yelling to people at the pool from their balcony on the 11th floor; children were running down the halls very loudly; children were yelling down the halls - this went on until 10pm one night. It did not appear that these young children were adequately supervised when swimming in the pools - one some points no adults were in sight. I was in the mini mart one morning and one of the engineers was very pleasant; the cashier in the mini mart was very pleasant and when I made the reservation I spoke with a manager who was very pleasant and helpful.
