“Not one of areas best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

Mediocre in every way.If you are staying nearby it is a place to play.It is definitely not a destination. The layout isn't bad,but the place is not the best kept. The fees are usually among the lower end but so is the course.

“Out of shape”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

Wanted to try the course, cost was $25. The course greens were not well maintained. The course needs to be over hauled and spend some money to bring it back up to par.

“Don't waste your money”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012 via mobile

This is the 5th year 16 of us travel for a week to myrtle beach. In 7 days we play 10 courses, This course greens were absolutely atrotious. They shouldn't even be open. The worst thing about it, we asked up front how the course and greens were, and they said in great shape. Hardly even close to standard, substandard at best. Play TPC myrtle beach, or Myrtle Beach national for $50 and get real courses. Other courses played, Farmstead, Indigo Creek, Founders, Heritage, River Oaks, all great courses. Bit Heron Point is absolutely pathetic.

“Great Deal, Nice Course”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2012

This course has really come back in the last year. It had been poorly run for a few years, but has made a huge turnaround. Very economical, challenging course, very friendly staff, great food and drinks. Very well liked among locals and tourists! Book through MBGolf.com for the best tee-time rates.

“A good bang for the buck..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 29, 2012

First let me say this is a reasonably priced golf course. It is not appropriate to compare it to high dollar courses in this area. We played it for the first time today. The fairways and tee boxes were fine. The greens were a little rough. There were some very challenging holes. The people at the course were very helpful and friendly. The prices in the food area were very good as was the food.

Because I strongly feel it was a very good value for the dollar, I gave it a 4 star rating. There are much better courses out there. They are also much more expensive. We will go there again. A great value..
