This is the 3rd time my husband and I have stayed at the Long Bay Resort. We decided to stay here again because its very reasonably priced, very clean and has good amenities.
Room: We stayed in an oceanfront 2 Q suite. Beds are in the rear next to parking garage. The 3 times we have been there it hasn't been a huge deal for the parking garage to be right outside the doors. Two out of 3 mornings were fine. One morning someone's alarm went off and we heard kids yelling, but no big deal. There is the fan/AC/heat unit you can turn on turn to drown out any noise. Bedroom has a closet, luggage rack, nighstand, dresser, mirror and TV. Only complaint was that the bed wasn't that comfortable. Laying on right side, my leg kept going numb. Middle of the room was the kitchen and bathroom. We really didn't use the kitchen since we were only there for 3 nights. It has a full size stove, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and sink. They supply a dishcloth, cutting board and dish soap. I didn't look in the cabinets to see what dishes they supply. Kitchen and bath area is tiled. Bathroom has a countertop with sink, mirror and hairdryer. There is a separate door with toilet and shower. Good water pressure and temperature. Living room had a murphy bed in the wall, arm chair, loveseat that I think pulled out into a bed, TV on a smaller dresser, DVD player and a table and chairs that sat 6. Balcony was normal size with 2 chairs and a small table.
Pool/hot tub: Great warm indoor lazy river (a bit small, but good). 3 nice hot tubs, heated indoor pool and sauna. There is a very large outdoor pool and large hot tub. Towels are supplied in the area. There is also 2 ping pong tables, shuffle board and large chess and checker boards. Only thing is that if its cold, you have to go outside to get to a restroom. All pools and hot tubs were clean. First night not quite warm enough. Asked maintenance to turn it up and it was very toasty the next night we went.
Other amenities: laundry room, game room, bar and grill, fit shop. Didn't use any of these except game room, which is small.
Food: There is a Starbucks and restaurant, but we did not go to either one.
Parking: Parking deck is in the front of the hotel as described above. Plenty of parking this time of year. As with all garages at the beach, height is low as you go up. 7 ft max, but there is parking for high tops on the first level.
They were doing some maintenance when we were there which we hardly noticed, but good they are keeping up everything. Manager told me they were replacing carpet, painting, replacing kitchen cabinets and countertops.
Overall, I would recommend staying here. Broadway at the beach is only about a 10 min ride. Barefoot landing is just a little longer going north. Its in a good location.
