“Nice selection of food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

This is an inexpensive restaurant with a nice selection of items on the buffet. I was surprised, however, they charged an extra $10 if you wanted to add crab legs to your buffet selections. That was almost as much as the cost of the meal! There is a small salad bar but everything looked appetizing. I asked for a glass of wine, but they said they could not serve it on Sunday. There was a nice choice of Sushi and the items looked fresh.

“Very reasonable alternative on the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

We've eaten here for a couple of years. We rate them a cut above the norm in Chinese eateries. They offer the standard fare you'd expect in a Chinese restaurant. However they have several interesting dishes. The steamed Salmon is a nice change to the fried food. They also offered steamed clams and steamed muscles. Carve your own beef roast, ham, and spare ribs were available on the three food bars. Fried food is plentiful including shrimp, egg rolls, smaller shrimp, etc. We like the four soup offerings and steamed dumplings. Their standard dinner buffet is around 9 dollars with a discount for seniors. If you want the crab legs it adds another 9 or 10 dollars. They offer soft drinks as well as beer and wine. Their salad bar is small but very fresh looking and they have a nice fruit bar. They are open for lunch until 3 pm also.

“Great buffet cheap”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

Located along Myrtle Beach’s restaurant row, New China Buffet offers an amazing buffet without breaking the bank. You will find Chinese food favorites as well as non Chinese delights such as fried chicken, tacos, and pasta. There is a tempting dessert bar as well as an ice cream bar. There is a hibachi grill where you go pick out your veggies and proteins and it is prepared for you. Seafood lovers will be in heaven. You will find shrimp, muscles, crab, and fish. Food doesn’t sit her very long so it is always being replenished. Great prices and excellent food.

“The place for it all”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

100 plus items on this buffet and crab legs. what else do you need, the price for sea food in less than half of the big crab houses. the food is great nothing is bad. the mongolian grill will knock your socks off. the price is a tourist dream. go for lunch and you will pay peanuts for buckets of food.
