I purchased a 2 night stay over Priceline and the process was very easy. We arrived about an hour early for the listed 3PM check-in. The staff immediatlely issued me a parking pass so that we could get the car from in front of the hotel, as they do have limited up-front check-in parking spaces. We walked down to the beach as it's only a few short blocks away,(yes it does seem longer in the heat of August). When we returned shortly after 3PM the rooms still weren't ready. The staff was most helpful and they upgraded me to a king size bed, but we did have to wait till approximately 4PM before we were able to check-in. Previous comments about this hotel are fairly accurate, they parking garage is seperate from the hotel and they do charge for parking. The sign in the garage states $7, but the actual amount on the bill is $5 per night. I agree with others, this fee should either be free or just role it into the room price so no one notices and then complains. The area was hit by a series of severve thunderstorms in the morning, so only 1 of the 4 elevators were working this situation was corrected the next day. You do need a room card to operate the elevator and this presented a bit of a problem when you've got a handful of new people who aren't familiar with the system trying to get up to their room. This is an additional layer of security and once you get used to it you will appreciate it. We were assigned room 801, and the hallway was clean and well lit. The room was very clean and the furnishings were very nice. The TV worked, but I never really figured out why several basic type channels were listed, but we couldn't receive them. After unpacking our bags we decided to unwind from our trip with a swin in the pool. This is a Convention Center, not a family resort and as such don't expect a pool with ceramic figures squirting water for the kiddies. This is an adult pool, which serves the purpose it was meant for. We stayed at the pool for just over an hour and several times during our stay the lady in charge of the area came by and restocked the towels as needed. Yes, this hotel isn't right on the beach, but then I didn't pay what such an accomodation would cost. Checkout was a breeze and I would recommend this hotel to anyone except those who require beachfront access.

Good morning ncexnyc, Thank you so much for submitting your feedback as we cherish it in order to be successful. We are definitely a convention center hotel, however we love to have families & children here as well. We really hope you will consider us when you come back to Myrtle Beach. Thanks & have a wonderful day, Juli
