“A great family stay in March.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

We only stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff was helpful and friendly. Right on the beach. Could watch the sunrise from our room, very beautiful! Great location and all my kids loved it there and hope to come back too. I would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to come back some day.......

Room Tip: Jr suite angle room is where we stayed and we had a great view of the sunrise and the moon rise at n...

Stayed in March 2013. I'll start with the positives: Great price, nice layout in room, clean room, no signs of bugs, nice view (angle ocean), clean sheets & towels. Friendly staff at reception and maids. 5th floor Starbucks a nice touch which served latte's. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was equipped with basic staples (pack your own knife for cutting fruit, vegetables etc. cookie sheet, frying pan, salt/pepper etc.) Complimentary coffee and dishsoap provided.

Now on to the only negative, but a significant one for us - the pools and state of cleanliness. Pools were warm, inviting/fun, kids loved the lazy river, however, while in the pool with my kids and had eye level with the rim of the pool and eye level with the filters, I saw growth of sevaral white formations under the rim of the pool, some of the white also had dark spots, and in some areas just dark spots. If you visit the hotel, check it out for yourself. More frequent indoors, but still in outdoor pools too. Indoor lazy, caused burning sensation in nose and throat - more noticeable when you leave to go into fresh air and the smell does not leave you and again burns. Not sure of the cause. Like another person posting, my kids are itching right now and spend a lot of time in the lazy river.

If I had confidence in the pools, i'd rate the hotel higher for overall value.

Room Tip: Ask for a newly rennovated room and on a higher floor for best view of ocean.

The hotel was clean, the staff was more than polite, cleaning service was thorough, check-in/check-out was an absolute breeze. My boyfriend and I went for a week for spring break and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The building was very drafty, we put some towels around our door to keep the wind out, but I doubt that is often as issue, it was just particularly cold during our stay. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, the outside areas were well kept. We stayed in an ocean front king efficiency (well worth the upgrade from angle view!!) I upgraded our room once, and requested a room on a higher floor at check-in as well (just to take in the view as best we could :) and we were accommodated immediately both times. The swimming areas were clean as well, we didn't bring our 2yr old daughter, but if we had I would have felt very comfortable bringing her there. It was very family friendly! It was far away enough from the strand to cut down traffic and noise, but still close enough to walk to. It was close to brookgreen gardens, myrtle beach state park, Broadway, the market commons, everything we wanted to do! I definitely plan on staying here again.

Room Tip: Definitely upgrade to ocean front. It is well worth the view you get! Also, be prepared to park acro...

The staff here is wonderful! They're friendly and helpful in every way. We had a great time in spite of bad weather. The room was clean...bed a little hard...well equiped kitchen.
Having a kitchen certainly helped since there are very few places to eat within walking distance.
Food products in their mini-mart were way overpriced.

Room Tip: We were in an ocean front on 4th floor! Great view!

We stayed here for a week. Staff was friendly from check in to running in to them in the halls. Maid service came daily. A couple of times we had dnd sign on the door. They didnt bother us but then would leave a bag of new towels and wash rags. The views from the hotel were great. Also the location was perfect for us. There was plenty of water things for the kids to do even though we didn't have ours with us. I have to say that the wifi was not good, but I was ok with that as I didn't have any bussiness issues to to tend to. The only other thing I could say could use improvment is the bed. It wasn't the worse hotel bed I slept in but not the best. We will be staying here again with the whole family.

Room Tip: I say request a ocean view the sun rises are to die for.

Went there with our three kids and stayed in a jr suite angle room. The view was super. However, the maids didn't seem interested in cleanig. The indooor pools were nasty and not well maintained. We were also off put by the many maintanance issues in the rooms such as dirty stained walls, toilets that clogged, and creaky doors.. Wouldnt stay again.
