we just returned from our stay at the Caribbean Resort and villas. This was the best vacation we've had. The staff at the desk were so friendly calling us by name each time they saw us.
Our room was so clean and fresh smelling, kudos ont the cleaning staff, our housekeeper was the best. It was nice to see a hotel that is always trying to improve them selves. Each morning the pool guys were out cleaning the pools, most places I've stayed you wouldn't even know they had pool guys.
My kids loved the new kids pool deck, what a great addition.

I agree with the previous reviewer. Not only was the shower water like nails when you took a shower, but you had no room to get out of the shower if the door was shut, the bathroom is like a broom closet. The towels were also like dishtowels.
When the people above us took a shower it sounded like a jet was taking off when they turned their water on. The room smelled to high heaven when we entered smelled of strong orange oder apparently trying to cover up smoke. The entry way into the bathroom and kitchen was always wet for some reason, never saw a leak. Not enough trash bags when you have a kitchen and cook. No garbage disposal which is nice to empty cereal and milk, you have to pick the cereal out before you empty the bowl. Give me a break what kind of vacation is that? I think they can afford to install garbage disposals. Room decor very outdated. When we had the bed pulled out of couch and murphy bed down you had to crawl over the bed to get to the balconly early in the morning hoping to not wake up whoever you are crawling over. More like camping in my opinion.

This is the most miserable place I have ever stayed in my life! I cannot WAIT until my week is over and I can go home. Did not notice until had unpacked all of our luggage that the ceiling had water leak places in it, which means possibly mold/mildew and being asthmatic, this is bad news. Then the tub drain wouldn't stay open, so when you shower, you end up ankle deep in water by the time you are finished showering, if you are lucky to get out alive that is . . . without being scaulded by the constantly changing water temperature. And, to top it off you can't enjoy listening to the ocean of the breeze because NONE of the rooms it seems (thought it was just ours) have screens on the sliding doors, that is unless you want a room full of mosquitos to keep you company. We have a room with two double beds, but one bed is useless, seeing as how it is shoved up against the wall and there is no way to get in it, unless you crawl over top of another person or dive into it. Oh, and they're replacing the deck near the pool, so if you did decide to brave the mosquitos and have the patio door open, you could always listen to the buzz saw all day long!!!! And did I forget that it is questionable that we would even make it to the room with the luggage because the cart was so broken down. Let's see, is that enough for you to understand how miserable we are . . . oh, the parking, yes, across the street, but that was the best part of the entire trip, never had a problem finding a parking place. Do yourself a favor, stay at a nice Hilton or a nice Holiday Inn Express. Oh, I almost forgot, I plugged my laptop in, and sparks flew! I'll be lucky to get out this place alive. . .that is if I don't get electrocuted, drowned, scaulded in the shower, get West Nile, a fungal infection from the mold, or just plain old driven crazy from all the pounding and sawing!!!!!!!!

I booked this vacation for my family 4 months in advance. The room was disgusting. The carpet made our feet black and the room smelled of smoke. We asked to be switched to a non-smoking room and learned that every single room in the entire hotel was smoking! We had our 7-month old daughter with us and the crib they gave us was terrible. It was bowing in the middle and they didn't give us a crib sheet...just a regular sheet, so my husband had to wrap the regular sheet very tightly around the mattress. We enjoyed Myrtle Beach, but will never, ever stay at this hotel again.
