“*late entry* from January 2012 (24th Anniv Weekend)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

I thought I posted my comment earlier this year, but apparently I didn't. My husband and I were on our annual anniversary weekend getaway and decided to venture to Myrtle Beach,SC and so glad we did. This was by far one of the best weekend getaways we've had. This hotel was just as nice as everyone on trip advisor had stated. The hotel was oceanfront and very very clean. When we arrived in SC we got lost trying to find the hotel, but we called and spoke with one of the nicest people ever, her name was xxxxxxx. It was late when we arrived and I was very tired from the long drive so I had gotten a little agitated at not being able find the hotel because i knew we were very close. Anyway after speaking with xxxxx she was able to direct us there in less than 10 minutes. She was doing the job of what seemed like 5 people; yet, she was as calmed and collected as the cool ocean the hotel sat on.....talk about multi-tasking. Anyway, in a nutshell, this hotel definitely lived up to it "trip advisor" reputation and I will definitely go back there again and again and again!

This hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Always greeted you with a friendly smile and "hello" in passing. Maid service was at the same time every day, never had to worry about running out of towels, wash cloths, etc. Breakfast was great. Pools were wonderful and just enough for my family of 4. Will never stay anywhere else again in MB!

The staff was friendly. Access to the beach was easy. There is lot to do, Our room had a super view of the ocean. We always try to stay in Hampton Inns because the are alway good, but this was special. My wife had to take photos of the room before we did anything to it because it looked so good. Free breakfast and coffee, tea and other things just make you feel like they really want you here.

My wife and I decided to stay here based on the ratings from Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. Stayed using accumulated rewards points and the staff were great from check-in to check-out. The room was very clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for us.
Really enjoyed the private balcony with rocking chairs.
If there's any negative it would be the quality of food at breakfast although my wife loved the waffle maker.

Recently stayed here for Family Vacation. We reserved three two bedroom suites. Check In - Quick and Easy. Lobby - Nice and Beautiful with large windows with the ocean as a backdrop. Rooms - Excellent and Spacious. The two bedrooms were large and loved the bunk beds. The kitchen was a perfect size and the balcony with the ocean view was incredible. Breakfast - Great with lots of food and options although the waffle lines gets a little long. Try the breakfast place across the street if you don't want the free breakfast it was cheap and good. The free breakfast was plenty for us. Pools - these are made for the kids and lounging which was perfect. There was enough chairs for everyone and the hot tub was always a great temperature. Loved the heated pools and the kiddie area. Beach - easy access..beware of the $30 chair rental on the beach. I say just bring a towel or go down the street and buy a $10 chair. Overall great stay for the price.

Room Tip: Try for a room on a higher floor so you do not hear the pool noise.

My son had a baseball tournament here at the Ripken Experience and after researching a LOT of hotels, we decided to stay here. Our room was nice. I wasn't afraid to get in the bed or touch the duvet cover. I liked the convenience of the microwave and fridge in the room. Everything was clean and our balcony had two rocking chairs that overlooked the ocean. Absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I also liked the free wifi. I was a bit disappointed in the "free" breakfast." They had lots of carbs and sugar. I wish there had been more protein and healthy choices. The eggs were yucky but I can't figure out why. Maybe they were "instant" or something. They have decent coffee available 24/7 which is nice. They do have yummy cookies in the lobby at around 4. The parking is also nice and. easy. I would definitelyh recommend staying here. They also have a decent gym with an elliptical, bike, and a couple of treadmills. I used it every day.

Basically, you got what you paid for, very good value! Large suite with great oceanview, very good service and great location, minutes to all attractions and the airport. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. I am a hilton member and was treated very nicely! I was hesitant to stay there since I always stay at a Hilton or embassy suites, but I was not disappointed with this hotel. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds! The cleaning person even cleared the kitchen for me and ran the dishwasher! This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at!

Room Tip: Go for the ocean view rooms overlooking the pool area!
