“Small museum but worth a visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

This is a very small art museum; however, it has unique exhibits which change periodically. Whenever you are in Myrtle Beach, check to see what the exhibit is and stop by if it is of interest. The staff is very helpful.

“The Grand Strand's Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

For an area this size that really offers very few cultural offerings, this art museum is a real hidden gem. Their periodic exhibitions offer the visitor a true look of different art forms and they are always FREE. Their current exhibition called "The Opulent Object" exhibits very unusual tapestries and sculptures from 3 Atlanta based artists who have their work in some very well known US and foreign museum. In their upstairs gallery is an exhibition of paintings that include many works by Jonathan Green, an internationally known artist from South Carolina who has been exhibited on several occasions at this wonderful museum. Whether you are a local resident or visitor to the Grand Strand, this is one place not to miss.

“Wonderful exhibit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

The current showing is excellent and eye opening. While we had the pleasure of hearing the artisans explain their works at the opening it still is wonderful to see

“Very cute”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

I wanted to go to this art museum because they had a very interesting exhibit about animation. The place was super cute and they exhibit had some great pictures. We went through it pretty quickly but since it was free we didn't mind. If you enjoy art I would go. Also their exterior was perfect for some photo ops!

“good for kids...adults not so much”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Wanted go try new places on my last trip to myrtle beach. I'm glad it was free. There really wasn't much to look at. The top half was closed off. All I got to see were a few animation cells and a dress up station for the little kids. I'll skip this museum next time.
