“Small package has lots going for it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

I really enjoy this small museum. They host some really nice shows eventho I have not seen much of their collection that would get you to drive there. Lovely small gift shop has some surprises each time I go. The staff is friendly and even on a tight schedule you can fit this in.

“Great break from the usual in Myrtle Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

A small jewel of a museum. I've been several times and can't say enough for the offerings of this totally unexpected bright spot in Myrtle. My January visit featured the art of a contemporary artist whose paintings take on the seen/unseen world was visually arresting. Also, a large collection of beautifully rendered black and white photos of people in the arts (dancers, visual artists, writers) and selections from the permanent collection. I'm happy to pay a very reasonable $5 to support this worthy institution. Tea and freshly baked cookies on the sun porch available on the honor system with the rare bonus of an ocean view across a natural landscape. Way fun gift shop with really cool stuff for kids and adults alike.

A pearl of a place where you can leisurly visit the museum and its ever changing exhibits. This is definitely worth the stop each visit to the beach.

“Nice little art museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

This is a little tucked away from the noise and tourist - traps art museum. They ask for a donation for admission. There is a lovely tea-room that overlooks the beach and the water where they ask 1$ for a cup of tea and a cookie. The art was an intersting collection of contemporary artists. The gift shop was outstanding.
