“Loved The Lonely Shadow exhibit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2011

This is a small museum but definitely worth going. My 11 year old loves art and this museum was great. The staff was polite and we loved the porch with tea and cookies!!!

“Great little museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

Really enjoyed the local artist exhibit upstairs, the polite and friendly employees that greeted us and the artwork for sale.

“Don't miss Babar World Tour, it's a must visit when in MB”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2011

I am a local and love to go to all the exhibits here but think the museum has outdone itself on this exhibit - it's fun for adults and children.
Babar’s World Tour: Original Paints and Sketches by Laurent de Brunhoff will be on exhibit through September 4. The exhibit consists of 33 original drawings from the book which bears the same name. In conjunction with the illustrations, the Art Museum, with the help of the Coastal Carolina University Theatre Department has created world-travel –related vignettes for each of the six galleries.

“A delightful little museum right on the beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2011

What a great find! This museum, although small (and totally charming) has exhibits worthy of a much bigger and wealthier institution. I especially enjoyed the folk art exhibit, which opened my eyes to something I had never had much interest in before. And I was sorry to miss the Babar exhibit, which opened after I left.
Congratulations to the director and staff of this marvelous
place!

“Great Art, Great Classes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2011

I was surprised to find such a sophisticated little museum right on the beach. You can see the ocean from the back room! When we were there, they had a wonderful collection of folk art - a must see. They also had kids art classes on Saturday. Not sure the schedule, but a great distraction from the sun.
