If you are looking for a quality Italian restaurant that goes that extra mile to prepare great food, provide excellent service, and not rush you through dinner, then look no further than Lombardo's American Bistro. I was fortunate enough to find this gem when my mother and I were searching online for Italian restaurants in Myrtle Beach. It is sort of hidden around the corner from Collector's Cafe on 79th Street. We had a superb meal. When my husband and I returned, we hit gold. John, the owner, had prepared his renowned speciality, Braciola, a thinly pounded beef which is seasoned, rolled, braised, and slowly roasted. The prep time is lengthly so it's not offered that frequently, but my Sicilian husband hasn't stopped raving about it - the closest to his mother's to date. Then, I took a friend, who had Beef Carpaccio & Linguini with Clams that was better than any she'd eaten recently. Bottom line - Lombardo's has great ambience, attentive service, a caring owner, & yummy Italian food. It is not a restaurant to be missed.
