“Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Dinner at the Marriott was great. The view over the pool to the ocean was great. Dining room was not full as we were there when the doors opened so it was a quiet meal and the food was excellent

“Best course in Myrtle Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Lots of history goes with this course. In a section above the putting green there are plaques commenmorating past Senior Tour Open champions from when this event was held there.
Very good driving range ,chipping and sand trap area at which to prepare for your round.
Most all the greens sit majestically above the fairways and they ran fast and true. Holes 9 thru 13 are as good a stretch as you will find anywhere.Hole #13 is shaped like a boomerang around a large lake and the tee shot is crucial. The 2nd shot is a tough decision as to what point to carry the water. Third shot is up to a double tier green.
From the green of hole #9 and the tee of #10 you can see the ocean. The approach to the 11th green is a tough shot as the green sits out over a marsh.
Have played most all of the courses in Myrtle Beach area and the Dunes gets my vote as the best. Most all the holes are free from houses which is another plus

“Unfriendly atmosphere”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

The golf course was in good shape and fun to play, however the employees and club members treated us like we shouldn't be there as outsiders. The restaurant took forever to get served and the food was average at best. We were one of the first patrons in the restaurant and they served club members who came in after us as they were making the turn at Number 9.
Won't be making any return trips there any time soon

“PERFECT SETTING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

I've had the pleasure of attending various events at the Dunes Club and have never been disappointed. If you can take your eyes off the outstanding view of the beach and ocean, you'll see what a magnificent place the resort is. Always great food and even better service. Wish I were getting married....I choose this place!

“Finally Played The Dunes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

I now see why it's rated #1 year after year. Simply spectacular. White sand bunkers and the sound of the ocean waves. The greens were superb. Great course
