“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

This is off the beach -- more affordable. It is a great location with easy access to beach front activities. You can walk to the mall and there are multiple places to eat really within steps. Use the Robert Grissom Blvd to avoid traffice.

Great location and facility for business travelers.
Close enough to the beach and tourist stuff. yet far enough to stay out of trouble.
The facility is located next to a large mall with many stores surrounding. I do not think it was an outlet mall. There were also a few average restraunts in close proximity. A few of the Department stores include Dillards, Sears.

The hotel itself is just fine and is what you would expect for a Hilton Garden Inn. The property is situated on the edge of a mall with quite a bit around. I'm starting to stay at HGI's less as I'm not a big fan of the sleep number beds they use - I just can't get comfortable in them.

This time of year the traffic wasn't bad, but I could see if being very busy during peak travel times. The staff was genuinely welcoming and pleasant.

Worst bed. Great food though. The rooms were clean and tidy, nice space overall. There was the tiny work out center and pool. I expected more for MYR. Very close to the major malls and attractions, right by the airport making in easy in and out. They really need to lose that comfort dial bed though. it was a large rut and no matter what setting I put it on I could not get comfortable and barely slept.

The hotel is situated right outside the airport grounds along Highways 17 and 501 right on the Coastal Mall grounds. There are many good resturants within walking distance and with the 2 major highways in the area right outside the parking lot, it makes it easy to get around. The rooms are constantly being updated, bedding is very comfortable and has the firmness adjustment dials. WIfi is ok, gym is just as good for a quick workout. For both the business traveler or couples that want want to get away for a weekend shopping trip, since the outlet malls are nearby, you cant beat the location or pricing.

We checked in quite a bit earlier than the 4pm check in and the room was ready and waiting. The room was large king bed with the handicap tub. I felt right at home and the mattress was incredible. My fiance enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. The Desk clerk and other staff were welcoming and helpful. The Breakfast was soo good! Everything from the juices, omelets, ect. I really try to balance my reviews though, so here is my down side. Down side is the parking. The parking wraps around the building, no multiple rows. Just one. Seems a be too few to me. I also dislike the fact that this building doesn't have that "Hilton" look on the outside. One other thing, I, personally am no fan of a hotel in a mall parking lot. It screams 'cheap'. I would stay there again, there is no doubt about that.

Room Tip: Use you HHonors points to get the room cheaper. It's worth getting the HHonors card.
