“Clean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

We was really happy with our room. Clean room white linens & towels. The blankets were nice. Checking & out was friendly & fast. The only problem was parking . We were 4 ladies 2 disabled 2 older! No parking close to our hotel! Had to cross street go up 7 stories before we could get parking. We had been to the Gaither Homecoming and it was 11:30 one night & 11:30 the next night. Not to safe for 2 older women! Beside from parking it was great. The parking places around the hotel should have been Handicapped! Thank you for a great weekend! Spb

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your comments in regards to our handicapped parking. We do have handicapped parking available in front of our buildings. We apologize that this was not available to you during your stay. We are happy to hear that the rest of your stay met your expectations. We hope we will see you again when you return to the beach.

If you get a low price, you get what you paid for. That happened to us. The hotel is worn and tired. It consists of several different buildings, and registration is in a separate building. If you have a question or a complaint, there is no one to talk to except for the bellhops. One of them had no idea where the ice machine was located in our building. Had to track down another to learn the location. On another floor of course -- information which could have been supplied in a brochure or information sheet. There is a safe in the room, but no instructions on how to operate it. There was no stand on which to place a heavy suitcase, even though there was enough space in the room to accommodate one. The biggest complaint, which is significant, was the location of the room -- directly over the lounge where loud music blared until after 11 p.m. We discovered this after returning from a late diner. Why any hotel would assign this particular room to a guest is inconceivable, especially since we visited in October, outside the peak season for this beach-side hotel. Definitely would never stay there again.

My friend and I stayed at the Breakers Resort in early October and were very happy with the facility. Our room, 841, was an ocean front corner room. The significance of the corner room, is that you get extra windows on the side walls. You walk into the room and there were 2 beds and TV and DVD player. You keep straight thru and you come to the kitchenette with a small but adequate refrigerator, a microwave, a stove a sink and all the dishes and silverware and pots and pans that you will need. Just beyond the kitchenette is the living room with another TV a couch and table and chairs and a murphy bed, and then onto the balcony with a beautiful view of the beach and pools below. Speaking of pools, there are 6 pools on the property, which consists of 6 different buildings. All pools are available for your use. There were 3 washer and dryers available. I did not see where you buy the laundry soap, but I had brought my own travel size soap (purchased from Walmart). For breakfast they had a nice, inexpensive restaurant, called Papa's right across the street, where the food is good. It is right next to Starbucks, for all the coffee addicts. The hotel has a bar and grill which also has good food.
We flew in and did not rent a car. There is a public bus that goes right from the airport to the hotels on Ocean Blvd. The round trip ticket is $10. There are lots of restaurants, gift shops, and a food stores, dollar store, drug store and a Krispy Kreme within a short walking distance. We also walked down to the boardwalk. There is a city bus that also runs up and down Ocean Blvd.
The last day we were there, it was cold and rainy, so we took advantage of the free dvd rental that they offer. They have a large updated selection of movies.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to call for someone to bring us an extra blanket. It came within 20 minutes of our call, and it was followed up by a call from the staff making sure that we received the blanket.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with the accommodations. We are planning our stay for next year, and are going to invite some of our friends.

Room Tip: Try to get a corner oceanfront room for the extra windows.

First time at the Breakers. The only issue is the drop off/pickup situation. People would pull in (there's supposedly a 15 minute time limit for leaving a car parked at the entrance. Yeah, right.), unload their luggage onto a baggage cart if they could find one, then have to proceed down & around to the elevators. Maybe they would bring the cart back, maybe not. Other than that, loved the suite- great setup, great view, great value. Would not hesitate to return. Will keep looking out for another Groupon!

My stay at Breakers Resort was wonderful. The room was very nice and clean. Even though I only stayed couple of days the experience was all around great! It was very well located to all kinds of good things to do by walking or by car. Wonderful.

Room Tip: Didnt use spa or eat the breakfast. Higher up the better the view. I stayed on 5th next time would...

The Breakers had to be one of the best experiences I have had with hotel stays. All staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived 3 hours prior to check-in, we were given access to pools and bathrooms for changing and guest services provided us with parking pass to go ahead and begin our vacation. Housekeeping were very friendly as well and was able to provide us with extra towels and cloths without hesitation! Would definitely return!!!
