“Great Weekend Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

We had a nice long weekend @ Breakers. The staff was very friendly and helpful, espeically Sterling the Bellman. The price is great. The only problem I had was the bed was back breaking and the pillows were flat and hard, woke up with a sore back each morning. Other than that what a wonderful time and we had great weather

Room Tip: Oceanfront Only

Thank you for your review of your recent stay with us. I have passed along your compliments of Sterling to his manager. It is great to hear employees being mentioned and being able to make a good impression on our guests. It is also great to read about the weather and it finally has begun to cooperate with us as we have had a long string of unfriendly beach weather this spring. We hope you'll remember the Breakers the next time you need a weekend getaway or a longer vacation at the beach.

We stayed at the Breakers while attending an event at the Myrtle Beach Conference Center. The Conference Center is a short walk away, just two blocks. The Breakers has a very convenient location. We pulled up, and the parking assistant was so very helpful! He was our first impression of the resort, and he was just so kind and helpful. He was a good greeter, and helped me understand parking and check-in. The room was very, very nice. The kitchen in our room was nice and modern, and also the bathroom. The balcony was oceanfront, and we had a view of the pirate ship swimming area. It was absolutely beautiful for our first visit to Myrtle Beach. However, when the room next to us would turn its water faucets on and off, it sounded like an explosion inside the walls. So, that was loud and startling. But, overall, the Paradise Tower was beautiful. We got used to the noises in the walls from the water pipes, and did not jump constantly after we got used to the noises. The lazy river and indoor pools were great. The elevators were working, and parking was really convenient just across the street. The biggest problem was the wifi. It was working, then would crash within two minutes, and this wifi was down for almost our entire stay. I talked to the front desk, and they suggested going to Starbucks just across the street. We went to Starbucks across the street, and they said their wifi was down too. They said that The Breakers owns Starbucks, and the internet is all the same server. In addition, I guess Breakers owns Papas breakfast buffet which is just across the street, and was yummy, hot, fresh and fast. I would certainly recommend Breakers, and would stay here again. We have very fond memories of this resort, which has a great location to the Convention Center and close to Broadway on the Beach and many other things to do.

I started going to the Breakers 7 years ago with a group of girl friends to celebrate my 40th birthday and it became a birthday tradition. The price is great, the accomodations are great, and the staff is too! There is no better way to wake up than to the sound of the waves and the sunrise over the Atlantic!

Room Tip: For a lot of extra space, for only a little more money choose an ocean front deluxe suite in the Par...

We stayed at The Palmetto. The room was nice. Was cleaned every day. The people who worked there were very friendly. Michelle, Jason, John and Joe were very nice. The food and drinks at The Red Parrot were good. I would go back and stay there. Great place for kids. We had breakfast at LuLu's down the street good food. Also Papa's was good. We had dinner at The flying Fish over at Barefoot Landing. Excellent Food. Went over to Broadway on the beach, shops and restaurants. Thank you! Nancy D.

The room was comfortable, clean and well kept. We stayed on the bottom level next to the pool and the view of the ocean was very good. Check in was quick and at this time of year parking was no problem. The breakfast at Papa's Restaurant was excellent. The bed was not as hard as a rock like most hotels.

Stayed in the Seaside Towers, will not plan on staying in either of these towers again. The hotel is deceiving in the fact that there are several "towers" and some are a decent ways away from where you check in. It took forever to check in and the brief parking scenario was kind of a nightmare. Simple room but I will say it was VERY CLEAN. The halls are a little bit of a wreck but the room itself was just fine, older but clean. Word to the wise if you are going with a large group make sure everyone books in the same tower. Also had a very loud group next door that hung out on the balcony all night...boo. Good location though.
