Bought this hotel through Priceline and the price was indeed a bargain. As someone wrote earlier the walls are thin, but the noise level was not bothersome. We were on the 17th floor and had a very nice view of the ocean and the pool side area. The suite was very comfortable for two adults and one young teenager. The breakfast buffet was good and would have been excellent if the food had been hotter. We were fortunate to arrive before the crowds as our stay was 6/27-7/3. I think we left at just the right time. We never had to wait more than a few seconds for an elevator. The pools were never crowded nor were the lines for the buffet and evening reception long. Mobs of people were arriving when we were leaving, due to the holiday, so I can imagine the many complaints. We, however, enjoyed a very pleasant stay and look forward to returning to this property. The hotel should consider having two receptions, one for families and the other for adults only. The small splash park was fun for adults and kids alike. I enjoyed lazing around the lazy river. The hotel also provides real wash cloths and towels and neutrogena face soap and soft toilet tissue. There is a stove top in the kitchenette but you have to request pots, pans and plates. The hotel service was excellent from the maids to the bell hops, the business center and the front desk. Everyone was friendly, professional and courteous. We didn't eat at the steak restaurant but heard it was not that good.

We stayed the week of 6/20/04. We've stayed at Kingston many times. The Embassy Suites Hotel(their are 4 seperate hotels oceanfront) on the outside seems to be showing some age, however the Lobby area is still nice and has a Starbucks located in it which was nice. We stayed in the newly built Brighton building. It was a 3 bedroom oceanview. It had a jucuzzi in the master bedroom, the whole thing was somewhere around 2000 sq. ft., it had 4 tv's, 3 phones, full kitchen, and two balconies. My recommendation would be to book a room in the Brighton section of Kingston. All the other's are starting to show age or are inside the complex and aren't oceanview(these are nice if you don't need an oceanview) Everyone was great, I've never had a bad experience here. The location is central to the north and south in Myrtle Beach.

we had a 2 bedroom condo. if you're used to staying in nice places (starwood, marriott, etc), then don't stay here...this place was a dump. we actually refused to stay and moved to another hotel. here's a few of the problems: the rooms are extremely outdated and it doesn't seem like it has been updated since it was built. everything from the appliances, faucets, furniture, and bedding was old an dirty. the master bedroom did not have a garden tub or king-sized bed. the room was noticeably worn...marks on the walls, floors and carpets dirtry, harware missing from closet door. there was a pile of week old newspapers on the counter, and the back door did not lock (considering we were on the ground floor, not a lot of security for our room). also, it was a pretty good hike to the pools and beach...not a lot of convenience. if you're looking for somewhere nice, go a little further south to the new marriott.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend with out 2 1/2 year old daughter. I've stayed here before for conferences and received nicer rooms that overlook the ocean directly instead of the poolside room we had this time. Even so, the suite was ample, with a kitchenette, pull-out sofa, and two double beds. We thoroughly enjoyed the Splash pool, which is great for all kids, especially those too young to swim since the pool's deepest point is only about 2 feet. The poolside cafe serves a nice assortment of drinks and food, although it's expensive and only so-so in taste. Its convenience is nice though. Breakfast is good and hot, but no variety gets old after a few days. The manager's reception is great for drinks, if you can get in the bar area. Lines were out the door when we were there. Request a room poolside if you like to watch the activity and hear the band play in the afternoons. Overall, it's a great place to have fun with the family.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites, Kingston Plantation, Myrtle Beach in early September 2003 for five days. We had an ocean front room with a balcony that ran along the entire side and front of the room, with sliding glass doors leading from the bedroom and living room. The suite was huge with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom; all rooms were extremely oversized! The top section of one of the bathroom walls was made of glass, so you could look out of it while showering; naturally, the windows exterior is blue glass so nobody on the beach can see you! Hotel service was excellent and the steak house served delicious dinners, but is expensive. Our room rate included the daily breakfast buffet, which offered a big selection of food. There was a manager’s reception/cocktail hour every evening in the huge lounge with complementary drinks and snacks; we really enjoyed going there. The beach and pool area were very clean, however, if you wanted a beach umbrella and chairs, you must rent them in advance for the timeframe you are there and the fee was a little expensive. We went downtown and bought some beach chairs for ourselves at very reasonable prices. A car is definitely needed to get to the downtown and restaurant area, but is only a short drive away. We had a wonderful time at the hotel and recommend it to anyone for vacation.
