“HORRIBLE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013 via mobile

Got squeezed for every last penny and dime the entire stay. No room on pool deck to sit and $3.00 for a bottle of water. I am not impressed. Bar service was excellent. Everything else was horrible. The hotel is to far away from any activities to be worth the price of the room. Parking was expensive as well.

Not good service, not great value for money. Some staff members seemed to be not engaged. In room service food took a long time to arrive and was bland cold and not appetizing. everything seemed to come at an aditional cost. Parking was $8.00 per day in hotel parking lot. Other hotels offer better service and value for money.

I spent four days at the Hilton Myrtle Beach the week of and including the 4th of July. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff at front door and valet parkers very friendly guys. I don't like it that you spend soooo much for your room that you have to pay $9.00 per day to park your car in their lot. That's right NO FREE PARKING!! Other than that the grounds are kept clean, the band that played for those days was great and we enjoyed our stay. I would definitely go back and the shuttle service is great to shopping and restaurants. I had a nice view a little obstructed from the angle of the building where I was but I'm not a complainer.

The hotel itself was beautiful, however, as I said before I was put in a handicap room, no view, no towels, shower curtain or tub no closet. Very unsatisfied, feel that it was not worth 300.00 a night.

The room that was set for us had a great view the overall experience was at about 75% Good. The cleanliness was about 80%. I would have thought that if you stayed for more that 4 days they would at least vacuum. To begin with it was not that clean. The staff were not always courteous and not so knowledgeable about the surrounding area. For the most part. Everyone was nice.
If you don't care so much about cleanliness and just looking for a place for sun, beach, and amusement from the neighboring places, I say go for it. I did expect more for the price per night stay. Ciao!!

I used honor points to stay at the resort, and booked a room with 2 double beds, for me and my boyfriend and my 13 yr old son and his friend. So wish they had a room with 2 queens. (5'8" 13 yr olds need more room..lol) We had a great view of the ocean and the room was clean. I will admit that the air con unit is noisy. The pools are nice and we didnt find an issue with getting lounge chairs. The smaller Royal Palm pool was completely empty on Sunday. I loved the north side pool bar and the ambiance there. Get yourself a drink in a shaker, you can easily get 5 drinks out of it and they discount future drinks if you bring it back, i believe. Just a short walk down the ramp to the south pool there was a tiki hut bar run by Katie, who made awesome margaritas in the coolest plastic reusable mason jars. These were great on the beach as no sand was able to get inside the drink.
We had lunch and breakfast at Amalfi restaurant. Lunch was awesome, breakfast buffet items could have been warmer. Our meals there were made extra special by our waitress from Ohio named Robyn. She certainly made you feel at home and there was nothing she wouldnt do to make our meal enjoyable. She went above and beyond, so Kudos to her!.

Checked in, went to the room and we found gross stains on the comforter from who knows what, and the toilet lid was up with drops of urine on the toilet seat. Called down to the desk and they said they would put in for it, but would take half an hour. Walked around the pool areas and there was trash everywhere, overflowing the trash cans, and it stunk to high heavens. Half hour later room wasn't cleaned, and we had such a bad impression we decided to leave. The pros would be the girls at the front desk, they were very sweet and apologetic. Also, the manager was extremely understanding and refunded all our money back, admitting that it wasn't the Hilton standard. He was a standup guy, and we did appreciate him. Hopefully they get their act together and clean things up, because the staff seem great.
