We were very impressed with the Serendipity Inn. We stopped there for two nights between our trips to Charleston and Savannah, on our honeymoon. Phil (the owner) was very accommodating and helpful. We stayed in the London Bridge room, which has a Victorian feel, along with more modern amenities like A/C and a kitchenette. The bathroom was a bit small, but it was clean and had everything we needed. The canopied bed was comfortable and there was ample space for our clothing in oversized armoires. The room was a bit dark overall, but not distractingly so. The breakfasts each morning were exceptional, with homemade quiches and cobblers accompanying the more traditional B&B fare of bagels and muffins. It was a short walk to the beach, though the Serendipity has a pool on-site. Above all, it was kid-free, with no chaos or disturbances- just what we were looking for during a honeymoon. We were looking for some place quiet in Myrtle Beach but still close to things. In general, we did not like Myrtle Beach as a town, and found it way too touristy and tacky. But this B&B didn't reflect that at all. Our experience with Phil and the Serendipity Inn were very pleasant. It was a tremendously good value as well!

Our family of four just discovered the Serendipity this past summer. As a result, we will never stay at another high-rise hotel on the oceanfront! We much prefer the laid-back, friendly style of the Serendipity From Kay's delectable peach teacake to her delicious quiches to her sausage and egg stuffed croissants, the breakfasts are always amazing. Besides getting our day off to a delicious start, the Serendipity's accommodations are so clean and unique! We have stayed in both the Serenity and Southern Comfort. Both provided tons of space, extremely comfortable bedding, and an "at home touch" that you will find nowhere else at Myrtle Beach. With only 15 rooms, the inn really becomes your private, quiet retreat from all the hustle of waiting on elevators, parking in parking garages, dealing with crowded pools and lobbies. When you're at the Serendipity, you practically have a private pool! If anyone else does happen to be in it when you are, they are undoubtedly some of the nicest people you will ever meet at the beach. We made so many friends back in July that we were so disappointed to have missed seeing some of the same ones again (by one week) in August! There's always next spring and summer for us though. This B&B is tucked away just far enough off the main drag and close enough to the beach. The rooms are very comfortable and well decorated. The owners do a great job of making you feel welcomed and are very helpful with ideas for things to do while in MB. The breakfast is very good. We will stay there again.
