“Great Value..not so much”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

it was kinda short for $25. Not enough exhibits compared to the larger city aquariums of lesser price

“Very Crowded With Kids In The Summer!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Are you ready to stand in line and deal with a very crowded attraction? If so......you will enjoy this venue in the summer. Otherwise, plan your visit for November or January!

“Smaller and pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

If you've been to the Gatlinburg Ripley's, you'll recognize this one is from the same designers...moving walkways, huge tanks, etc. So visually, its very nice. But they don't do a good job labelling the fish and other sea life. (there's a guide you can buy for an additional fee. Annoying.)
I can't say its very large but I've been to Baltimore's and Camden's aquariums. We came at 7:30 PM and were out by 8:30 and we let the kids goof off as much as possible.
It's in a fun location and its nice that it stays open so late but I'd called it a tourist trap. And the mermaid thing was not open when we went and I was glad. That seems to scream tourist trap to me.

“Nice place to take the kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

This was a great place to take the family while in Myrtle Beach and the moving sidewalk is a great feature that gives you the feeling of being inside the tank with sharks, eels, saw fish, etc. The stingray exhibit was lots of fun for kids and adults. Everything still looks relatively new. The only negative is that the aquarium is not very large so you can be in and out in an hour. The location is phenomenal because there is so many other things to do there. I would recommend visiting Ripley's Aquarium but just have lower expectations if you have been to other places like the Georgia Aquarium or even the Pink Knoll Shores Aqaurium in NC.

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

WOW from coming from New England and the New England Boston Aquarium this one is spectacular. What beautiful tanks and animals floating/swimming over you gives you that up close and WOW'ED feeling. As an adult I thought this place was awesome and I can not wait to bring my son back he will love it. What a great job Ripley's did it is worth seeing no matter what your age is. Got to touch horseshoe crabs and sting rays. Loved it!
