“Excellent customer service!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2014

We stayed here for 3 nights in August. We are gold members and they upgraded our reward stay from a queen double to a king jacuzzi suite. Let me tell you that was the biggest jacuzzi I have ever seen in a hotel suite!! OMG.......huge and wonderful. The room was nice. The breakfast was good. You are right next to our favorite stores....Steinmart and Fresh Market. There is also a wonderful coffee shop. You can walk to the beach but we just drove 3 blocks and parked right at the beach. Download the parkmobile app to park to use the Myrtle beach parking. This makes it very easy. It ended up being about 3 bucks a day and we were right on the beach...very handy! The beaches at this end of the beach are superior to the other end.

Room Tip: Drive 3 blocks and use the parkmobile app to pay for parking......just don't forget to end your...

Hampton Inns have always been my favorite, and this was no disappointment. My stay with two children and my elderly mom was delightful. Even when I spilled water in the elevator and locked my key in my room, the staff was pleasant. As always, the continental breakfast was over the top. It was good to be away from the crowds of my destination yet within minutes of everything I needed.

Good, clean bedroom just the perfect bass to a good night sleep, just 2 blocks from the ocean plenty of parking, and far from the noise of action in downtown myrtle beach. Great customer service experience, breakfast could be better with a little creativity from the manager and without spending more money, just by changing the simple scramble eggs serve. The pool area and gym are nicely located.

A sign that reads, "New look, same Hamptonality" greets guests as they arrive to this property that is situated blocks from beautiful Myrtle Beach.

Unfortunately, the sign seemed to possess all of the hotel's "Hamptonality."

Upon arriving to the lobby, the staff member at the front desk did not greet me or my wife and instead stared blankly at us when we checked in. She failed to inform us of the breakfast, simply glaring at us and visibly hating her job.

When we returned from a walk later in the day, we attempted to take advantage of the 24-hour coffee and tea station in the library. Noticing it was empty, we inquired of the front desk agent if the station was indeed a 24-hour operation. She brusquely informed us that she "ain't have time" since she was "by herself." Neither of these responses answered the question.

For fear of disturbing this front desk employee at her job, we retreated to our room. At check-out the next day, I had the intention of discussing the less than desirable with the desk, banking on the fact that I'd be asked how I enjoyed my stay.

To our unfortunate surprise, the same clerk was at her post, staring at her guests populating the lobby. After purposefully helping a guest who stood behind us in line, I returned to her my key. Her only words, "Room number?"

It is a major disservice to the brand that this employee holds the desk hostage with her disdain for hotel guests. She misrepresents "Hamptonality" and actively alienates guests who dare to interact with her while she is at work.

The modern, clean facilities of the hotel thus fade into the backdrop, as does the location with service as unfeeling and uninspired as offered by this bullying clerk. With so many hotels in this area, there is nothing that motivates me to return if the "Hamptonality" at this hotel, indeed, remains the same.

If you would like to have the security of sleeping in a clean room, then the Hampton hotels are for you. Courteous and helpful staff....South Carolina hospitality at its best! Lovely, functional, modern decor.

This was a nice hotel and generally a good value. The free breakfast is a money saver. The room was large and very clean and the hotel provided easy access to everything in Myrtle Beach. Our room was very humid as it rained a lot and the pool area was too hot and smelled of chlorine but other than that physically the hotel was good. Be careful though with rates and the weekday rate changed on Thursday and then again on Friday to weekend rates.

We needed a quick last minute room and this hotel was worth the extra $ in comparison to the awful surrounding hotels... Honestly... On this "strip" of highway this is one of your BEST bets!! Room was impeccable and hotel was friendly and clean... They include breakfast and are very welcoming.

Not on ocean or anything but good for passing through and/or visiting the area.
