“WHAT A GEM OF A RESTAURANT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Because I had a coupon and it looked intriguing, my wife and I stopped in for cheeseburgers, fries and soda. The place has a 50's décor, it's immaculate, the staff is very, very friendly and further it was packed with guests. The food was fantastic, huge handmade burgers with any free choices, i.e., onions, chili, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. The heaping basket of fries were crispy and HOT! Refills on the soda was done frequently and pleasantly. With the coupon for a free cheeseburger, our bill was less than $7. It's located in the Piggly Wiggly Plaza, behind Chick-Fil-A. DEFINITELY TRY IT AND YOU'LL RETURN. BTW, the owner, Alex Boatman (?) stopped by the table just to say hi.

“Great burger!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013 via mobile

The best cheeseburger around Murrells Inlet. The only thing that could make this place any better is if they had hand cut fries.

“Best Burgers Around!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

My family and I stayed in a cottage at the Wachesaw Plantation last week. We were so excited to see the new Hwy 55 Burger place near the Piggly Wiggly. That is our favorite burger place locally and we were not disappointed at the Murrells Inlet Hwy 55. If you like nice thick burgers, you definitely need to try this place. And just so you know, the frozen custard is out of this world. A must try!
