My family had visited Twelve a couple years ago. We were anxious to go back this trip to Myrtle Beach. We made reservations for ten. Upon arrival, we realized reservations were not even necessary as the restaurant was empty. Our server, Carrie, quickly greeted us, went over the specials and brought us our drinks. All done with a southern accent and southern hospitality. Upon reading the menu, we realized something had definitely changed. Come to find out, the restaurant has changed owners. The new owners have veered away from the Italian fare offered last time we were there. We were disappointed, but decided to give the new menu a try. We imagined it to be comparable to the great service. Several of us ordered red meat and the rest tried the very few Italian dishes on the menu. The meats were cheap cuts and over cooked, and the chicken on the chicken parmesan was undercooked (raw). Carrie was fast to offer us something else when our dissatisfaction was apparent. We had waited quite some time for our entrees to make it to our table, one at a time no less, and declined replacement dishes. We did, however ask to see the manager. Turns out the owner is the manager and cook. He came out and was very condescending. He blamed everyone from the butcher to the electrician for the food he turned out of the kitchen. He took no responsiblity at all. We will not be returning and don't recommend anyone else trying this place. Thanks, Carrie for the great service!
