We stayed at the Hiliday Inn Mt. Pleasant for one night. We asked for, and got, a non-smoking room but the odor in the room, while not smoke, was really bad. There was cigarette smoke odor in the corridor. The room was OK (if you forget the odor), but unlike their competitors at similar prices there was no refrig and very little sitting room. Also, while not their fault, the road construction on Rt.17 makes it difficult to get to. You may want to research other accommodations. We would have moved but we had to get to a wedding and did noit have the time.

Stayed for three nights (09/2012) and was very pleased. Hotel is well up to Holiday Inn standards. Very good staff - Front Desk made a point of addressing me by name. Very clean and well maintained rooms. Housekeeping staff quick and helpful. Would stay again without hesitation.

Hotel is right at the base of the Cooper Street Bridge in Mt. Pleasant. Bridge is fairly new, is free, and is a pleasure to cross, but the fact remains you are going to need a car. This hotel can get up there in price when bidding on Priceline, but overall it is clean and a solid choice if you want to stay in what is an equally favorable area, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Mt. Pleasant has a whole range of options including places to eat which can rival to a degree some of the places downtown. I enjoy staying both in downtown Charleston and in suburban Mt. Pleasant.

I just stayed at this hotel and yes the rooms were a bit on the small side, but being able to have my dog and the amazing staff make up for it. If I needed anything at all the staff would bend over to get it for me. Between Dan at the front desk and Chris in housekeeping I had everything I needed. I will be staying here in the future!!!!!
