We're new to the area and were told that Stacks, which is right down the road from us (in a shopping center across the street from Publix), was a "hidden gem." We decided to try it out for restaurant week. It was fabulous! Darcy, who owns the restaurant with her husband, told us that it had been open for only a year and a half (their adjoining deli has been operating for several years).
The food was fabulous. The decor is modern, yet cozy and tastefully designed. Suzanne, our waitress, never stopped smiling and was great. The scallop appetizer, the shrimp and tuna entrees and the desserts were excellent. We definitely will go back and we're so glad someone suggested we try it out.
A couple of the reviews, BTW, appear to be about the deli/luncheon side, which we have not tried. Suggest potential diners not confuse the two. Stacks is fine dining in a casual, unpretentious atmosphere. We've tried out MANY restaurants since moving here -- nearly all superb -- Stacks ranks right up there as one of my top choices (along with the Old Post House and SNOB).
