This beautifully decorated property has terrible beds and construction to a major roadway going on 24 hours a day. If the bed doesn't get you the back up beepers will! Otherwise, the property was clean, water pressure good, current/fresh decor, helpful staff and spacious rooms. However, I am mostly paying for the bed and how rested I feel after staying in a hotel.

We stayed here for one night before leaving for a cruise out of Charleston. It was a great spot for us & only about a 15 minute drive from/to Charleston. Clean, quiet room & hotel was easy to find. Had no problems at all. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while we visited Patriots Point, Historic Charleston and some plantations located off of 526. This hotel and room were clean, the beds were comfortable and the employees were all very friendly and efficient. The location was convenient (approx 5 miles to Patriot's Point and 6 miles to the historic area) and an easy drive to all destinations. The only complaint we had which is no fault of the hotel was that Hwy 17 has guardrails blocking direct access to restaurants. You have to drive past them until you find an access point and then backtrack along side roads to get to them. We had a room on the third floor and it was quiet. A very nice place to stay at a great price! We would stay at this hotel again.

The front desk clerk was less than enthusiastic to see us which was no big deal but deserves mentioning and there was some noise in the hallway late at night which was unexpected but what was really annoying is not having HOT water when you are showering. Considering the hotel was by no means full I do not understand the hot water issue. I am a Marriot Rewards member and try to stay at Marriot Hotels and I expect a certain standard of excellance, excellance not met on this stay.

I stayed there for mainly due to location-right of 526 & the overall value compared to hotels in downtown Charleston.
Pro’s:
• Easy check in and checkout, fresh baked cookies at the counter.
• The hotel offers Paul Mitchell soaps and shampoos.
• There is a little bar located in the hotel as well.
• Small business center, able to print off boarding passes and directions
• Free Parking
Con’s:
• Hot water can be an issue when taking a shower
Overall a great value- only about 15 minutes to downtown Charleston. I would stay there again.
