“Spoil Yourself”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

We stayed at the Cottages on a 3 day weekend. We stayed in Cottage #7 and it was in great shape with a remarkable huge screened porch overlooking the Charleston Harbor. The staff, especially Edward and Will, made us feel so welcomed and were always very accommodating. We needed an early breakfast one morning, so Will put together some things and brought it over to our cottage!
This place is expensive but if you want to splurge, its worth it.

Room Tip: Cottage 7 was very nice. I checked out cottage 6 next to us and it was nice also.

Hi Ray G -
It was a pleasure to have you all back with us again this year. What perfect weather for the bridge run! I will make sure to pass along your kind words to Edward and Will. We hope to see you all again next year. I will be sending out a special offer to the bridge runners that stayed with us this year, so be on the look out!

My husband and I just returned from two nights at the Cottages on Charleston Harbor with another couple, and have nothing but great things to say about the property. The staff was courteous and helpful, and our cottage was well-appointed, clean, and situated in a perfect location outside the bustle of Charleston's historic district. We loved coming back to it after a busy day of sightseeing to relax by our fireplace together or on our screened-in porch, and already have the itch to return with family and friends. With complimentary bikes to ride, it's the perfect getaway for a relaxing stay in Charleston.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Charleston with friends or family, this is well worth considering. You won't regret it.

Room Tip: We stayed in cottage 5, which was centered on a little sandy area on the harbor. With enough "y...

Just stayed 4 nights in Cottage #3 and cannot think of one negative thing to say about our stay or the staff. I would classify this property to be a high end B&B with an advantage of having an entire cottage to yourself. The cottages are well maintained and full of amenities. Beds are comfy as well as the decor and the screened in porches. We were constantly entertained by the ships that pass throughout the day and the gorgeous sunsets we observed each day. The grounds are immaculate and I can't say enough positive comments about the attitude and attentiveness of the entire staff. Having stayed only 4 nights, I felt like I knew each and every one of them forever. Location to the actual downtown Charleston area is quick and convenient. Highly recommend this property!

Room Tip: Cottage 3 seemed to offer best views!

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend. The cottage was in a great location, but it had a roach problem. For this kind of money, I expected not to have this kind of problem. Also, there is not a beach that we could find. The "resort" is supposed to be under new ownership. Hopefully, they can fix the repair issues and bug problems.

We stayed in cottage one. The views were excellent...big ships, sailboats, tugboats, etc., and downtown Charleston. The cottage was beautiful and comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed. The location is great. The beach and Charleston are nearby, and Patriot's Point and the marina with tours of Fort Sumter leaving several times a day are in walking distance. The staff was very attentive and friendly and responsive to our every request. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the porch watching the water traffic and reading. It was so peaceful.

Cottages on Charleston Harbor is the most beauitful property you can imagine. All it lacks is a proper beach. The views of the Holy City from the Mount Pleasant (Patriot's Point) side are stunning, the property is immaculate, and the staff is helpful and gracious. We would love to own the property we stayed in. It was that nice. Two beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms located on opposite sides of a living area/kitchen make this a perfect place for families or even two couples sharing a vacation space. The screened porch, complete with hammock, is lovely for relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine with the sunset. The furnishings are beauitful, the linens spotless, and the entire property incredibly well maintained. We will return many times.

We stayed in cottage 2 for 3 nights. Perfect location, sitting watching the ships was so relaxing. The Club house was lovely, great snacks and felt like an unpretentious private club.

The staff could not have been more helpful, I have no idea what the negative reviews are about as we had none of this,

Shem Creek well worth a visit for dinner and to watch the dolphins playing...no need to pay for a tour out to sea. Water taxi fun way to get into town and cab back very easy

Room Tip: Cottage 2 great views and peaceful
