The wife and I stopped by for lunch on Veteran's Day prior to visiting Patriot's Point. That was a Saturday and we were there right at opening (11:00 AM) so, as one might expect, the crowd had not yet arrived. We shared the Fried Green Tomato & Fried Okra appetizer and both items were nicely done, free of excess oil, very crisp and tasty. I ordered the 'Crabwich' which is a nicely done Eggs Benedict knock-off featuring crab salad, swiss cheese and a crab sauce presented on an English Muffin. My wife enjoyed the 'Village Beef' which is sliced prime rib with Swiss cheese and horseradish sauce on French bread w/au jus. Aside from those, the beer was cold and a welcome thirst quencher on a gorgeous, sunny Fall afternoon.
Additionally, we had asked our daughter, who visits the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area requently, whether she and her friends were familiar with the establishment. She said they were and frequently went there when visiting the area. That was a major influence on our deciding to give it a try.
