“Great B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2009

Just look at the reviews, it seems everyone agrees with me, this bed and breakfast is great. Steve and Phyllis are so warm and welcoming that they make you feel at home. The breakfast is spectacular, and the inn is so cozy and clean. Its convenient to Charleston and the surrounding tourist attractions. We stayed in the plantation room which came with a DVR. Even though we were on vacation, it was nice to come back at night to watch our favorite show before bed. I recommend this bed and breakfast 1000 percent.

Stayed here 3 days, while attending the Scottish Festival at Boone Hall Plantation, which was so close and convenient. The Inn is absolutely wonderful - very comfortable, beautifully decorated, peaceful, and the breakfasts are REALLY good. The Hosts are very accomodating. They really do everything they can to make the visit everything that you hoped for. Stayed in the Palmetto room. The view was great. I had the opportunity to get a peak at some of the other rooms that were not occupied - my first thought was that the pictures I had seen on line were good, but they looked even better in person.

We spent a weekend here in Oct. 2009 and it was lovely! We stayed in the Cotton Room -- light, airy, and delightful! I loved the screened in porch upstairs, as well as the morning solitude viewing the dock and marsh out back. The food is incredible, too! The proprietors are quite charming and believe in customer service.

We just returned from a weekend stay at the Plantation Oaks Inn, and cannot say enough great things about this place and it’s owners. We were upgraded to the “Palmetto Room” with a big comfy bed and windows overlooking the marsh. The rest of the house is just as cool: a big screened-in porch on the second floor and a large deck on the ground floor, both with excellent views. The owners are great as well – super-friendly and interesting, and happy to help with any questions (about dining, things to do, etc.). It’s fantastic as a base for various parts of the Charleston area (the beaches and downtown) or just to kick back and get away for a weekend. We’ll definitely be going back.

Plantation Oaks made our Charleston visit truly memorable and superseded our expectations. Both Phyllis and Steve are very hospitable people who made many suggestions for local activities which resulted in a terrific overall experience. We felt as if we were staying with close friends. Phyllis and Steve made excellent sightseeing recommendations for us to maximize on our time in Charleston. They even let us borrow their beach chairs. We enjoyed superb meals for breakfast and were impressed by Plantation Oaks’ cleanliness. All in all, Plantation Oaks is the best kept secret and value in Charleston. We certainly look forward to our next stay at Plantation Oaks Inn.
