“Boone Hall”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

The Plantation is beautiful but the drive in the tree lined road is what makes this Plantation awsome. The house was restored nicely but it should be since it was built in 1934. I was dissapointed with the tour of the house because it only included three rooms on the first floor. The tour guide was very informative and gave a great presentation I just wish there was more. I like the slave quarters and the historical signs set up inside them were very informative. The entry to the ground cost $20 and the tour was included. For the price it was a nice visit.

“A Lovely Southern Plantation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

The grounds are so beautiful and and well kept. You can smell the flowers in the air. The tour guides really know their history both past and present and whats really nice is you can tell they really do care about the place. They enjoy what they do. So glad we went.

“Southern charm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

The drive into the plantation takes you down a long, oak lined road and it offers an impressive view with the home at the other end. Once your fee is paid you have access to the entire plantation but you do have to schedule your time for the home tour. I highly recommend that, as we had the most wonderful Southern lady, Deidra, show us through the house and give the history. By all means go to the slave cabins and check the time that the presentation "Exploring the Gullah Culture" is given. That lady has a wonderful voice and speaks some of the Gullah language. We took the coach tour with Eddie and his delightful personality made the time fly by.
They have a rose garden that has the first hybrid rose planted in SC... the Noisette class of roses originated in Charleston and is a specialty on the Plantation. We had a great time here and spent about 3 hours enjoying ourselves. They have a limited food court.

“Nice location for a wedding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

Nice location for a wedding. It has plenty of room. A few years ago I attended an outdoor wedding with a party of 500 guests. Nice accommodations.
