The most beautiful charming place! Gardens, home, tours, tour guides, employees, etc are fantastic. Definitely worth the time and money to visit the old South!

“Felt like I was in "Gone With the Wind!"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

This plantation was wonderful. The Live Oak-lined driveway was majestic. Eddie was our tour guide on the tram and he was so personable, fun, and knowledgeable. I really think his tour and passion for Boone made our trip there such a great experience. This place is a must see place and the farmers market is great too.

“Worth the visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

As you drive in through the line of Live Oaks you know you are in for a treat, gushing with Southern charm. The house is not very old....circa 1930's but the tour is interesting. The best part of your visit will be the self guided tour of Slave Street which has many original buildings each with an audio -visual presentation and photo's depicting life for blacks on the plantation. The live history talk, and the live Gullah presentation are top notch. Better to visit in the Spring or Fall when it isn't too hot. There is very little shade and very few areas with air conditioning.

“Beauty and Education”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

This plantation has a beautiful long drive to the mansion (Just like yo see on tv and in books.) The grounds are well taken care of and the "slave quarters" had wax figures and audio that taught me things I never knew. Awesome. I highly recommend this plantation!

“MUST SEE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

This was amazing. There are a lot of different places to tour on the property. This plantation is also a great place for photographers as well. May favorite part was the amazing trees and moss down the front drive.
