My sister arranged our visit to Shem Creek Inn for my mom, me, my sister and her new hubby. They'd stayed there twice before and loved it. I have to say that I, also, fell in love from the moment I opened my balcony sliding glass door and heard the sounds are happy, partying people and saw the boats that docked and floated smoothly by on the creek. The pelicans and seagalls flying all around. I'd heard that John Grisham, the mystery writer, had written a book that took place there and that just added to cool mystic of the area. It felt like a New Orleans vibe. It's incredibly beautiful as the sun starts to go down. I didn't mind the noise at night. I loved visiting the city of Charleston, SC with it's historic beauty and wonderful shopping and restaurants. Shae, the desk manager, was very sweet to my sister and I. I thought he was very cool. The beds were comfy and the water pressure was great. It was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room as well.
Shem Creek Inn is a sexy place to stay. The environment lends itself to romance. If you're single...I'm sure you could easy meet some nice people there. ;) . Also, you must check out "Cypress Gardens" if your in the area and take a flat bottom boat onto the super calm waters of the swamp full of Cypress Trees. It's magical! Bring your camera!! I recommend Shem Creek Inn to everyone!!!
Happy Traveling,
