We tried this place relying on the Trip advisors reviews. Very disappointed . We arrived at 7pm on a Thursday night and the place had 3 people at a table , the owner , the cook, and the waitress.
I asked if they were open , " oh yes, you just missed the rush, sit wherever you like" the waitress said. I asked what she would recommend and she said she would get the cook . The cook recommended sauerbraten and I said it takes 3 days to marinate are you sure this was fresh , and he said they marinate for 5 days and make small portions at a time so it's always fresh. We ordered potato pancakes first, very blah, the onions weren't ground in the potatoes , then came the spaetzle , I never had noodles the size of "cheetos" , no buttery taste. The sauerbraten , I didn't know what cut of meat could marinate for 5 days and be so tough and such small portions ! Raisins ? in this goopey, brown flavorless gravy. We spent $50 with tip , 2 sauerbraten dinners and one glass of club soda and one glass of wine .
