“Worth the 2 passes and Sherpa Guide it takes to get there...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

The location is the only challenge. You really need 2 passes and a sense of humor to find it. GPS will lead you astray and the signage is, well, it does not exist. The restaurant is in the Golf Club. Lester did a great job taking care of us and making useful suggestions. Food was delicious and served promptly. A nice lunch locale.

“Hard to find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Loved the restaurant once we found it! Took us 25 minutes from the Sanctuary (should have been 10) because we kept getting lost. No signage! Who knew it was within the golf clubhouse? Take the free shuttle if you go. Once there, we enjoyed a nice BBQ dinner on the patio and watched the alligators in the pond (waitress said they've counted up to 29!).

“Very good bbq”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Service and quality of food was very good, however, don't try and eat outside when the sun goes down as it will be dining timing for the mosquitos.

“Good as advertised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

On the pricey side but great barbeque. Brisket was tender, turkey sandwich was awesome per my wife and pulled pork was great per the kids. Nice ambience and seeing the gators was a nice perk. Great pulled pork nachos to start

“In the Osprey Point clubhouse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

There is no sign for this restaurant so we had a difficult time locating it. We wanted to sit outside, but the host informed us the flies were a big nuisance. High top tables and regular seating as well. Excellent bourbon Manhattan for a decent price, but beer and wine were very expensive. Large platter of ribs with tasty baked beans. Cornbread was awfully dry. Smoked chicken wings were whole wings and very good, the "smoke" did not overwhelm the flavor of the chicken. Very good fresh corn on the cob. Although pricey, had to enjoy a Godiva chocolate martini for dessert. My husband had the bread pudding which was on the dry side.
As in the words of a previous reviewer, everything on Kiawah is expensive, and this was no exception. It did make an easy place for dinner after a long drive to reach the resort.
