The Kiawah Island Inn closed in 2004 after we opened The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, our $125 million, 255 ultra-luxury oceanfront hotel and spa. The Sanctuary has received both a AAA Five Diamond and the Mobil Five Stars awards. This placing it on an elite list of 31 hotels, resorts and inns in North America and Mexico to hold AAA’s and Mobil’s highest awards.

Additionally, Mobil also recognized The Sanctuary’s spa with its separate Five Star rating for spas, making it only one of only three spas in North America to achieve this designation.
