“It's never good when the waitress is complaining to another customer about her prior trip advisor review while not servicing you”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014 via mobile

Gosh, the food was great. Really great. The young "single mom" waitress took at least 10 minutes complaining to another customer about her prior trip advisor review while ignoring me. I would have liked it if she'd offered dessert - instead We got it at counter on the way out to go. Also, when we came in, she asked if we had reservations, and she said, "the Only table I have is right there" - perhaps, she should soften her approach to those without reservations- honestly, I'm not out to get a single mom as she suggested that the prior person was- the fact is, this restaurant is great- I have a 2nd home at seabrook and want crave to stick around.

“You can't miss Crave when at Kiawah or Seabrook.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

Made a point of coming to Crave . The food is always Fantastic. The service is ALWAYS friendly, welcoming and at home". Michelle is the most nights and makes you feel one of the family. Crave would NOT be the same without her !!!
The specials are top shelf..but if one does not appeal to you, you can't go wrong with the seafood stew.

“Outstanding cuisine, chefs and waitstaff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014 via mobile

I have enjoyed extraordinary menu choices at Crave for the past 18 months. The cuisine is outstanding; Chef Mike and Chef Zachary use only the freshest ingredients from local farms and waters. The select choices
meet or surpass 5 star restaurants in Charleston, hands down. The waitstaff is always pleased to greet you and happy to serve you. I've also contracted with them for a dozen catering events. Their menu, creative presentation and genuine hospitality enhances every occasion.
I urge one and all to try this Gem on Johns Island.

“Good food, terrible service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014

We just dined at Crave after hearing our friends rave about it. The service was absolutely terrible. The waitress was inattentive and rude. We had reservations at 8:15, and she seemed almost angry we were there. It was the two of us, my in-laws and our daughter, so it wasn't like we were a rowdy crowd by any means. She did not tell us anything about the food, was irritated that we were in the restaurant, and then when my father-in-law ordered fish and chips, brought it to him with fish and mac-n-cheese - saying abruptly that "we are out of chips". When we questioned whether there were any other sides available, she simply said "no -that's all we have". Very disappointing given that we were all very much looking forward to our visit. We will not return.

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014

We visited Crave with family who live locally, and know that we like good food in unassuming places. This fit the bill perfectly. Great shrimp and grits, the lowcountry philly sandwich was superb, as was the service. Will definitely visit again!
