Acme has a relaxed environment with two great bars, but definitely has more than a bar food menu. We had a table of four the first time we went and ordered the wings, fried green tomatoes, and nachos for appetizers and it was all very tasty. We ordered two bottles of wine, and it was a nice surprise when the chef, Frank Kline, came out to present and pour for us. For dinner we had the lobster mac cheese (so very good), the Carolina succotash with scallops (perfection... the scallops were perfectly cooked and the succotash was full of flavor), the mahi mahi fish tacos (didn't have a bite of these, but was told they were some of the best she's had), and finally, the shrimp and grits (shrimp was cooked perfectly and the grits were seasoned great and creamy). So, needless to say, we truly enjoyed our dinner here. We even went back two nights later and the food and service was just as fabulous.
By the way, Shawna is a wonderful server!! I would recommend sitting in her area, if possible.
