No way I would have guessed by looking at the exterior of this modest beach house style restaurant that the menu would include a variety worthy of and Iron Chef competition. I was there three times during my 4 day visit to IOP and if they opened at 6 a.m. (instead of 8 a.m.) I'd have stopped for breakfast on my way back to Kentucky. Can't decide what item was my favorite but the list includes the chicken livers, grits, chicken sandwich, french fries, burger, eggs benedict and.... did I mention grits?!! Yum. My only regret is that I didn't have enough time to sample more items on the extensive menu of choices. It's not 'fast food' so don't expect to be in and out in a New York jiffy. You are on an island - relax and savor your meal like the expertly, individually prepared experience it's intended to be. Enjoy a glass of wine served in fine dining stemware while you wait for the chef to perform his magic.
