“An Exceptional Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2010

Absolutely 4 star. Staff recognized me by name from the front door through the check in process with Marcus. Every one was well versed in their particular function. Lounge restaurant good food value and excellent quality and service. Bath room is fully stocked with quality products and the bedding is awesome. Would recommend Destinations and Resorts as a club to join.

Wonderful stay in this upscale resort. Did not plan to stay in the Charleston area but glad we had a change of plans. Booked online the day before. Received a awesome rate on Name Your Price on Priceline during off season. Was totally surprised for this type of quality for what I paid. Friendly staff, and especially enjoyed talking with Marcus Frazier and Carol at the front desk who were very helpful in telling us about the area and how to get around. Spacious room, quiet and private. Wonderful large bathroom area. Best bath towels I have ever experienced in a hotel. Comfy beds with the softest sheets. Great Stay! Would be a awesome place to stay during the warmer months.

My husband and I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn the weekend of Dec. 10-12 to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we discovered we were upgraded to a premium room overlooking the pool. It was a fantastic view from a fantastic room. We stay at Wild Dunes at least once a year, but usually stay in a villa because we bring the family. When it's just the two of us, we like to stay at the Boardwalk Inn. The staff was pleasant and helpful as usual. Our room was very roomy and comfortable and perfect to lounge around in since it was cold and rainy most of the weekend. This hotel never disappoints us, and we will surely return.

We stayed only one night at the BoardWalk Inn, Wild Dunes Resort. We found the place charming with amazing decor and very comfortable accomodations. The staff except for the one receptionist encountered at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. We didn't eat at the restaurant as we read many bad reviews. We didn't walk around the property as we were only there for one night and leaving early in the morning.

We've stayed at WD for many years over Thanksgiving. Great views, beach walking, golf, exercise path, etc, etc! Relax at the resort, or visit nearby Charleston - just a half hour away over the beautiful Arthur Ravenel bridge. Eat at GREAT restaurants on Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. You can go, go, go as much as you want, or just relax on the two great golf courses and beautiful beach.

We travelled from Charleston, WV to our sister city in South Carolina the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. We were referred to Wild Dunes by a co-worker who had stayed there a couple of months prior to our trip. From his description, I expected a nice resort but we were blown away by the friendly staff and the hotel quality. Our only issue was the fridge was not working when we arrived but it was replaced while we went to dinner. We were very impressed by the bell staff and the front desk employees. The beach was pretty much empty for morning and evening walks and very clean. We will definitely be back to enjoy the resort and all that Charleston has to offer.

We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn from 11/24-11/27 and had a wonderful time. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and efficient. They called us by name after just meeting us one time. Our room was very clean and spacious. We did not use the pool but it looked very inviting. The beach was just a short walk down the boardwalk and was very wide in front of the hotel. We used the tennis facility across the street from the hotel and it was fantastic. Our teenage boys did an advanced junior clinic there and also had private lessons with Shaw who was an awesome instructor. They really liked him! We only ate at the Deli while at the hotel but the food was very good. My husband used the fitness center and he said that it was fine for his needs. We had a fantastic experience and look forward to coming back again in the summer!
